1. Frank Moore: Mending the Line - Tough as nails, gentle as a poet, and determined as a badger, 90 year-old Frank Moore loves to fish. A World War II veteran, in 1944 he landed along with some 150,000 other troops on the beaches of Normandy, France for the D-Day allied invasion. Despite the cacophony of war around him, the young avid fly fisherman couldn’t help but notice the productive fisheries on the rivers he and his fellow troops crossed as they made their way into occupied France. His lifetime accomplishments as a fly fisherman, conservationist and a veteran have earned him many awards, including the prestigious Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor, and recent induction into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. He has guided and fished with many famous anglers, including actors, congressman and executives. He built and was the long time proprietor of the world renowned Steamboat Inn along the North Umpqua River. And now, reflecting back upon his life, he feels compelled to return to the rivers of Normandy, this time armed not with a gun, but with a fly rod and reel. 70 years later, we will follow Moore as he travels back to Normandy. Once a soldier witnessing the horrors of war, now he will return to these rivers as a fisherman seeking serenity on the water and bringing his life full circle. PROJECT OVERVIEW: This documentary project will profile Frank Moore's inspiring and dynamic life history and follow his return to France to fish the rivers that he crossed so many years ago as a 21 year old soldier amidst the devastation of war. There are few veterans in as good health as Frank, far fewer who have the courage and ability to travel back to France to see the war grounds of their past. In May 2013 the Uncage the Soul Production team will travel to France with Frank and his wife of 70 years, Jeanne, traversing the rivers and World War II landmarks of Normandy. With your support, we can all show our appreciation to this venerable veteran and others like him by making this dream of his a reality, documenting not only his lifetime of accomplishments, but also the beauty that lies in the world of fly fishing, allowing a man to confront his past and embrace his passion in a place that he once helped to free. With your help we can make this dream a reality, showing our appreciation and allowing a man to confront his past and embrace his passion in a place he once helped to free. 3. A Fisherman and His Hound - Those of you who know me, know just how obsessed I am with the incredible art of fly fishing. There ain't too many things on this little blue rock I'd rather be doing than standing waist deep in a cold mountain freestone waving a stick. Shot entirely with a GoPro Hero and edited in FCPX, It's basically a small glimpse into a typical day on the water for me and man's best friend. So without further adieu….herein, lies a day in the life of a fisherman and his hound. Hope you have as much fun watchin', as I did creatin'. 4. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 3 - The third part (3 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we first see the incredible power of the spring run off in the Vindelälven river when Petra Sjöberg stops at Vormforsen rapids to study the tribute song "Änglamark" written by Evert Taube to preserve the river from hydro power development. Later, we follow the ardent fly fisherman and fisheries manager Daniel Holmqvist to two of the river's tributaries, Manjaurån and Gargån. Both of these waters are restored after the timber floating era and the fish stocks has exploded after the efforts. Daniel tells us more about this while he's pulling fish after fish. 5. Blue River Bad Boys - Back in the late 90's I worked as a part time fly-fishing guide for my friend, and bad ass angler Todd Andersen. We were total tailwater junkies back in the days when the fish were big and you had to have serious skills to even hook up. When Todd decided he wanted to shoot a video to promote his fly shop he called on yours truly. With our amateur film crew in tow we headed off to what was once the mighty Blue river in Silverthorne, Colorado and we slammed trophy fish one after the other. Sadly, the rivers of Colorado were crippled by a drought shortly there after and the rivers still, to this day, have barely recovered. The main food source needed to grow large trout is the small mysis shrimp and they have almost completely vanished. Even though the water levels have recovered, the river flows remain inexplicably erratic and low. I return to Colorado every year to fish and it breaks my heart that what were once great fisheries, are now a scant fraction of what they were. This video proves that with the proper care and the right leadership, our Colorado rivers can be the best in the world. I hope that every fisherman who watches this video is both delighted and infuriated. So, do your part and call the Division of Wildlife, Trout Unlimited and the Colorado Legislators for the mountain communities and demand action! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

7. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 1 - The first episode (1 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow Tor and Erik in search of the big spring pikes with their fly rods in the Umeälven river delta. In this area there are excellent opportunities for both to capture the many and very large specimens during the time of year when the pike aggregate for spawning, which normally occurs in April or May just after the ice has left the river. Catch and Release of fish is encouraged during this period to secure reproduction. We also get to see beautiful pictures of pike aggregated for spawning, but these Tor and Erik wisely leave undisturbed. During May the grayling also aggregate for spawning and Rolf head up to a spawning site in the Sorsele area to capture great pictures with his camera equipment. 8. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 6 - The sixth and final episode (part 6 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow John and Stefan on a fishing trip up to the head waters of the Vindelälven river. To get the opportunity to fish in the limited accessed section, an application has to be submitted no later than May 1 to the county board administration of Västerbotten. Then a lottery will be conducted in order to randomly distribute the currently maximum of 100 fishing days that are granted in the section. The area has limited access in order to maintain the high quality of fishing and to minimize the pressure on the nature of the area. Johan and Stefan stops, however, one night in Ammarnäs village before they head out to the mountains. Stefan tries his luck after the huge trout that annually migrate up from Lake Storvindeln and up in the Vindel River for spawning. The average weight is over 3.5 kg of these magnificent trout and there's alot of work going on with management to preserve one of Sweden's last strains of large migrating brown trout. 9. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 4 - The fourth episode (4 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we first follow Petra when she was patiently waiting for the massive hatches of the big may flies to begin, but she's a bit too early. Fortunately, there are always alternative water to fish along the river valley so she goes to the Gargån river for some grayling and trout instead. Later, we follow Stefan who obviously had a big fish to rise to his dry fly but we'll wait and see until the end of the film how big it was. Rolf gets angry and decides to fish with two other fly fishing legends, Jimi and Erik, in Sorsele area for big trout. Rolf is so inspired by the fantastic fishing that he swallows his pride and brings Stefan there the following weekend.
