31. Moen Invitational 2012 - Nice video from Danish island Moen. Some spin fishing, but also lots of fly-fishing. In Danish with subtitles. We started what is going to be an annual event, it is all about competing in a friendly manner and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings on the lovely Island of Møn. The competition includes much more than "just" catching the biggest fish. We tried to make many challenges that could be done while time was spent on the beach, taking a break from casting your fly in the water. example could be tying a fly on your leader blindfolded, pet a dog, find 3 eatable plants by the water, finding fossils and lots more. We invited the creators and members of 2 different danish fishing blogs because we wanted it to be some super enthusiasts that are used to sharing their fishing adventures with the public. I hope that others will enjoy watching it, because we certainly enjoyed doing the event, and i hope that it shows in the video. We had some cool guests that came and had dinner with us and told fishing stories from møn and lots of other places Maybe next year we will invite you and your friends so be ready! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

32. Parachute Tools Overview - During this fly tying tutorial, I chose to share some tools that are beneficial when tying the parachute post of a parachute dry fly. Though not required, parachute post tools help to make the task a lot easier and faster, two components that few can argue with. Feel free to share your own technique(s) regarding tying parachute posts, as I am positive that many additional and effective ones exist. Thanks go out to Stonfo fly fishing products for their use of these parachute tools; you can find these and many more items at the following link: http://www.stonfo.it/site/index_en Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

33. Blue River Bad Boys - Back in the late 90's I worked as a part time fly-fishing guide for my friend, and bad ass angler Todd Andersen. We were total tailwater junkies back in the days when the fish were big and you had to have serious skills to even hook up. When Todd decided he wanted to shoot a video to promote his fly shop he called on yours truly. With our amateur film crew in tow we headed off to what was once the mighty Blue river in Silverthorne, Colorado and we slammed trophy fish one after the other. Sadly, the rivers of Colorado were crippled by a drought shortly there after and the rivers still, to this day, have barely recovered. The main food source needed to grow large trout is the small mysis shrimp and they have almost completely vanished. Even though the water levels have recovered, the river flows remain inexplicably erratic and low. I return to Colorado every year to fish and it breaks my heart that what were once great fisheries, are now a scant fraction of what they were. This video proves that with the proper care and the right leadership, our Colorado rivers can be the best in the world. I hope that every fisherman who watches this video is both delighted and infuriated. So, do your part and call the Division of Wildlife, Trout Unlimited and the Colorado Legislators for the mountain communities and demand action! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

34. In Our Time - We're fortunate to enjoy 3 months fly fishing the South Island of New Zealand each year. On each trip, our time, we're completely engaged in the fly fishing, the landscape, the birds, beech forests, tussock lands... and we simply lose ourselves during that time. Of course, the fly fishing is spectacular - both easy as and tough as, but that's how it goes. In Our Time is in reference to not only what we do, but how the New Zealand trout go about their business of feeding - they'll get there they say 'In Our Time". Each scene of this short video represents the end game of a lot of planning of where & when to fish, getting the right camera position, tramping 1km or 10 hours, and enjoying our time. Of course, if you are fortunate enough to spend that amount of concentrated, communicative time with your spouse and understand that kind of commitment, this video also represents a lot of intense quality time together. And that's us, Dave & Amelia Jensen - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

35. Hen Hackle: Tips & Techniques - In this "Tips & Techniques" fly tying video, I explain some common uses for hen hackle. As a beginning fly tyer over 20 years ago, I knew little about the differences between hen and rooster, thus I wanted to give a brief overview and show a few common applications for the actual hen feathers. There are many more uses for hen hackle, but this video features the common ones that I employ, especially with JV Hen Hackle. The various applications I show are: Tailing and legs (especially for use with patterns such as the Copper John), beards on wet fly patterns, and soft hackles. These are just a few possibilities for utilizing hen hackles. Speaking of JV Hen Hackle, I want to give a shout-out to Cleawater Hackle, which is where I get the majority of the hackle I use. They have an incredible product called JV Hen Hackle, which offers smaller and softer feathers, especially for those tying trout flies. The feathers will tie down to 18 on soft hackles, and there are lots of great colors (I discuss the JV Hungarian Partridge Hen Hackle a lot in this video!). When you visit their site, be sure to let Lars (the owner) know that I sent you: http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/jv-hens/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this site, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

38. John Anderson's Bird of Prey caddis - For this fly tying tutorial, I chose a pattern that represents a caddis pupa and emerger, John Anderson's Bird of Prey Caddis. This fly consists of just a few simple materials, but as you'll see, all of them are considered some of the best to use in fly tying. I do vary this pattern slightly from the original, but kept the most critical components to ensure its effectiveness. I recommend this pattern for intermediate fly tyers, though those at an "upper beginner" level will be able to complete this fly with a little practice. Featured in this tutorial are the N204/N204BL hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/); I explain a reason why I like this 2x-short hook in the video. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any questions or comments directly on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
