42. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 2 - The second episode (2 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow Viktor, Tor and Stefan, who in June head to the restored tributary "Ruskträskbäcken" for both grayling and brown trout. We also get to meet fishery conservation area chairman Kaj Gambäck who enthusiastically tells about how they work with management to promote fishing which they have done very successfully with the modern applied regulations. In June, the normal spring run off the main Vindelälven river is high, but fortunately this period provides the absolute best fishing in tributaries and in the smaller lakes and ponds found along the river valley. Brown trout tend to be very active and can surprise with really fine specimens. Fishing site: Ruskträskbäcken (see google maps). Fishing management area: Ruskträsk FVO Contact: Kaj Gambäck Chairman. Read more here: http://www.vindelalvsfiske.se Filmed and produced by: Rolf Nylinder Contact: frontsidefly@gmail.com or http://www.frontsidefly.com This film project is funded by Vindel river fishing area (Vindelälvens Fiskeområde). 44. Recapture - a fly fishing film - Recapture shows the importance of Fly Fishing not only as a sport, but also as priceless way to facilitate connections; connections to our environment, each other, and the fish we spend countless hours pursuing. It’s funny; when I look back at my formative years I realize the time we are connected to the fish represent a small drop in the bucket of time. It’s not the fish, but the intricate web of connections to all facets of life in the social and environmental spectrum that occupies the majority of our time fishing. That’s what keeps us coming back for more. In the grand scheme of things, it’s the sights and sounds of our favorite fishery, the friendships, and the community that endures long after a day on the river is over, or the last grain of salt has been washed from our fingertips. Maybe it’s the thought of the pull that gets us out there initially, but it’s the people and places that make the memory. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

50. Napoleon's Dynamite nymph - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is a pattern that is popular among the Czech/Euro nymphing crowd, Napoleon's Dynamite. This is a fly that features weight, a slender body, and a couple hot spots. Combined with those characteristics are some great colors, and we have a pattern that catches lots of fish. The hot spot can be as a tag or collar, with the former being more effective in areas that receive lots of fishing pressure. Feel free to modify this pattern to meet the needs of your fishing, and I recommend starting by substituting other fluorescent colors. Featured in this tutorial are the J100BL jig hooks from Allen Fly Fishing; check out these hooks and other fly fishing supplies here: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/ Also featured in this video are tungsten slotted disco beads from Rip Lips Fishing. These are great beads, and I encourage you to check out these and all of the other varieties here: http://www.riplipsfishing.com/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial of Napoleon's Dynamite. Feel free to leave any questions/comments directly on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
