41. Fly fishing in Slovakia Part 2 - fly fishing paradise in in the heart of Europe - Slovakia is one of few not so much known excellent fly-fishing destinations in Europe. Slovakia is often being confused with Slovenia, but its quality of rivers can be easily compared to those popular in Slovenia. Thanks to the fact, that Slovakian rivers are not so famous as Austrian, German, Czech or Slovenian one, they do not stand under huge fishing pressure. Slovakia has the most national parks per square kilometre and due to this circumstance lot of untouched river systems. This makes Slovakia truly great fly fishing destination for fly fishermen, who enjoy pure nature. These facts are underline with the world highest productivity (insect-diversity and insect-quantity per m2) of Slovakian mountain rivers. Diversity of Slovakian water systems: big rivers, lakes, reservoirs, mountain rivers, creeks or mountain lakes - all what passionate fly fisherman can just think of, is offered by Fly Fishing in Slovakia. We are looking forward to your visit. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

44. Weighted SL baetis nymph - Hook: TMC 100 BL #18 & #20 Head: 2mm black tungsten bead (use 1.7mm or 1.5mm on #20 hooks) Thread: Spiderweb Tails: Hackle barbs Abdomen: Goose biot, olive Thorax: Squirrel dubbing, darker than abdomen I use this fly in Slovenia. The fly is very easy to cast on my #4 rods, and I use a small 2mm strike indicator approx. 4 feet from the fly. I fish the fly upstream to fish I've spotted as I would a dry fly. Very easy to tie, and the fly sinks reasonable fast. Not a exactly bottom dancer, but the fly does a very good job at imitating small baetis nymphs taking the last free flow of their lives. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

45. George Daniel's Czech Catnip - This fly tying tutorial features George Daniel's Czech Catnip, a fly commonly used as the "anchor" for those familiar with Czech Nymphing. The anchor fly is the heaviest fly placed on the setup, and this one works great for it bc of both its weight and ability to attract fish. This is a no-nonsense fly, plus relatively simple to tie, and I encourage you to add some of these to your fly box. Being that the main material (Micro Polar Chenille) comes in a variety of colors, this pattern can be varied quite easily. I made a slight variation to the original pattern by substituting UV Chartreuse Polar Chenille in place of the original Olive, and I believe this change helps to make the fly more of an attractor-type in waters especially for trout, steelhead, salmon, and grayling. If there are any additional combinations of materials that have worked for you, feel free to share via this page. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N203BL hooks by Allen Fly Fishing. These hooks have a great look to them, are barbless, plus are 2x heavy, with that additional weight helping to get this fly to the bottom quickly. I encourage you to check out these hooks and more at: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n203bl/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave comments/questions directly on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

47. Scudmarine Steelhead Nymph Pattern - Learn to tie a very effective steelhead nymph pattern. It may not be well known that pink scuds catch steelhead like crazy, but it's true. I've developed this pattern over the past four years and I'm very confident in it when fly fishing for steelhead. It is easily one of my top three steelhead nymphs. It is easy to tie, looks good in your box, and catches fish. Devin Olsen from Fly Fishing Team USA turned me on to fishing pink scuds for steelhead. He is one of the world's best fly fisherman and you can check out his blog http://www.tacticalflyfisherman.com/ for more great tips. The intro of large steelhead all caught nymphing is a fun twist that I decided to add to my last few videos. Leave a comment and let us know what you think! Thanks for watching! 48. Fly Fishing Collaborative - as humans, we’re not meant to just consume. we meant to create beautiful things, to impact those around us, to leave a mark on the world. there needs to be a bigger purpose behind all the things that we do. that’s when it dawned on us… we can use fly fishing to create change. flyfishingcollaborative.org bucky@flyfishingcollaborative.org a year ago i spent a morning on the river with some friends who had been telling me about an organization they had started that used fly fishing to make an impact on those in need. over the past year, they have made some amazing strides, a couple weeks ago, i got back out with them. we hiked out to the river before dawn, and by the time the sun rose, i had already experienced more beauty in a few hours than i normally do in a month. and this video is a little look into some of the amazing things they are doing. i'm excited to share with you a touch of that beauty i got to experience but more so excited to share with you this amazing story and even more amazing undertaking. ip _______________________________________________________ note from bucky: None of this is possible without the friends in the fly fishing community banding together with the common focus to help. We want to thank everyone that has climbed on board with what we’re doing. It seriously would be impossible without you. I think of Marty and Mia shepherd of Little Creek Outfittters. They donated the first guided trip that we ever received. Their generosity and dedication to helping others is so inspiring. The industry is lucky to have them. I think of Joel Loffiette from Royal Treatment fly shop, and Brian Silvey, I think of Adventures Across Oregon, Small Stream Outfitters, and so many other guides, fly tiers, and good hearted people that have helped us along the way. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
