141. Snow Fly - How to tie a Snow Fly ~ Winter Stone. This Little Black Winter Stonefly is a perfect imitation of a juvenile stonefly hatched the Summer before. I call this pattern a Snow Fly and I use it on the river when the snow flies. This Stonefly Pattern is relatively smaller than most, but all stoneflies have to be this small at some point. I like to use a size #16 or #14 hook and sometimes I will use a little bit of flash material. The Roaring Fork River in Colorado is full of Little Black Stoneflies and the fish seek them out. If you would like to catch willing trout, consider taking a fishing vacation to Aspen or near by. You will have a great time, the fishing is as good as it gets! 144. Black Egg Sucking Leech - This is one of my confidence flies for fishing rainbows. It is extremely versatile and can be fished in a variety of ways. I use this fly at ice off fishing still waters under and indicator. When water temps are cold, fish prefer a catatonic (no movement) presentation. I usually run a chironomid under it, or a damsel nymph. As water temps warm up, it works good on a slow erratic retrieve. In rivers, you can run it dead drift on a nymph rig or swing it. This fly fishes good all season long and across a variety of species. I have hooked walleye, bass, rainbows, steelhead, browns, and tiger trout on this fly. I find it is most productive when there are natural eggs in the water. Add in a black saddle hackle palmered up the body for faster retrieves of for swinging. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

146. Fly Fishing Colorado Small Creeks - Small Creek Fly Fishing is one of the most rewarding ways to fly fish. Fish in small creeks readily take flies and do so with voraciousness. Do not be fooled though, creek fish are very spooky and you must be stealthy to get close to your target. Small creeks are found throughout Colorado. Chances are if there is year round water in it and it is cold, there are trout in it. Trout in Colorado can be found in areas that people still think do not produce fish. Keep an open mind and do some exploring! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

147. Reel Scream - Swinging flies with Spey rods for Steelhead. Filmed in the Pacific Northwest on the Cowlitz, Clackamas, Klickitat, South Umpqua, Washougal, and Wilson rivers. This is the fourth film by Water Work Films and Jeff Layton. Film footage is a collection of shots filmed during the 2012 fishing season. Most of the film is shot in "point of view" perspective, suggesting that the viewers perspective is the same as the protagonist's. Storyline of this film is about a patient/fly fishermen talking with a therapist about his addiction to fly fishing for Steelhead. Film is formatted in HD 1080p 30 frames/second. 16:9 widescreen. Available in DVD, and Blue-ray DVD. 31 Minutes Long. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

148. Simple Yarn Crab Bodies - Fly Tying Tip - Simple Yarn Crab BodiesTying crab flies for bonefish and permit can often be intimidating for anglers because of the complexity of most patterns. One of my favorite crab pattern's is Cathy Beck's Fleeing Crab which we have used in the Bahamas and Belize for bones, permit, and even some baby tarpon. The body of this pattern is made from EP Fibers (antron works too) and they are typically tied in using a "figure 8" style technique which is good, but that technique tends to bind the fibers down of the previous clump of yarn. This technique that I show in the video I feel simplifies the process and makes the over quality of the body come out more consistent. This technique of tying yarn bodies on flies also works great on patterns like tarpon toads. If you have questions or comments leave them below and I would be happy to help!Thank for watching!Sean VisintainerSilver Bow Fly Shophttp://www.silverbowflyshop.comMake sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel:http://www.youtube.com/user/silverbow...Join our Facebook for quicker updates on the Silver Bow Fly Shophttps://www.facebook.com/silverbowfly... 149. Guide's Day Off - What happens when a bunch of your guide buddies get a day off together? You start the engine, that's what. Watch what goes down when 5 guides, an 11 year old grom, and a fish junkie join forces to hijack their local trout stream for a day. All I know is that if I wasn't lucky enough to call these guys my friends, I'd sure as hell be paying them to take me fishing.
