13. The Fly Fisherman - Off of Ring Road 1 on Iceland’s southern coast run a host of wild rivers fed by glacial water. That’s where Stanji Ben runs his fly fishing tour group, Iceland Angling Travel. With temperatures often dropping below freezing in an Icelandic spring, fly fishermen need to break ice off of their rods just to continue casting. But a little cold weather and near blizzard conditions doesn’t stop Stanji from wading waist deep into freezing waters to catch the elusive Icelandic river trout. Here we follow him out on a trip with friends to talk about the take, the river, and the country he calls home. 17. Sea bass on the fly - When the water temperatures reach 12 degrees Celsius the European sea bass, Dicentrachus labrax, will head up north to our waters and start feeding in our estuaries. They reach our shores around May and stay until the end of October. During these months there is just one fish on my mind and every other fishery is put aside. There is nothing like the take of sea bass or the roughness of fishing the salts. Fishing from shore but also from the boat it brought me to a multitude of spots and learned more and more each visit to the coast. The port of Rotterdam is my hunting ground but further South and North there are ample spots te be found. This season I took along my camera and tripod and collected clips all through the season and made this movie out of it. It is far from a high quality fly fishing movie but it shows the way I perceive my beloved fishery and I have the chance to let people in on it. For future generations I hope regulations of harvesting these fish will be changed and that for many years to come this fish will thrive like the Striped Bass in the US. I can only hope. Enjoy! If you would like to read and see more about fishing for European sea bass have a look on the Dyckers.com blog or Facebook sight. Many thanks to Edwin Kerssies of Dyckers Lesley Luijer of Bassexpress and Loop Tackle for their terrific saltwater rods and reels. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

19. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 6 - The sixth and final episode (part 6 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow John and Stefan on a fishing trip up to the head waters of the Vindelälven river. To get the opportunity to fish in the limited accessed section, an application has to be submitted no later than May 1 to the county board administration of Västerbotten. Then a lottery will be conducted in order to randomly distribute the currently maximum of 100 fishing days that are granted in the section. The area has limited access in order to maintain the high quality of fishing and to minimize the pressure on the nature of the area. Johan and Stefan stops, however, one night in Ammarnäs village before they head out to the mountains. Stefan tries his luck after the huge trout that annually migrate up from Lake Storvindeln and up in the Vindel River for spawning. The average weight is over 3.5 kg of these magnificent trout and there's alot of work going on with management to preserve one of Sweden's last strains of large migrating brown trout. 20. Yellow Fever - Golden dorado fly-fishing as never showed. We sought this blood thirsty predator, in a wild and untouched environment, fishing at a very intense rhythm, and with the adrenaline pumping. Explosive strikes on the surface are what every fisherman wants to see, and we will show them in large quantities. Beastliness stalking behind every sunken trunk and in every ravine. Nothing is safe from its tremendous power. Solely designed to kill, he is the one in charge in the Paraná River. YELLOW FEVER: the illness every fisherman will suffer from the moment he first makes contact with this wonder of the aquatic world. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
