141. Chartreuse Redfish Clouser Minnow - This Chartreuse Clouser Minnow is one of my go-to patterns for big redfish in the Delta Marsh south of New Orleans. I like to tie this streamer pattern with relatively light bead chain eyes so that my fly doesn't sink out of sight too quickly. Big redfish charge this fly and eat it as soon as they see it. I believe this redfish pattern imitates a shrimp or a small baitfish. Capt Matt guides fly fishermen to the big redfish south of New Orleans. Sight fishing is best in the clear shallow water of the Mississippi Delta Marsh October, November and December. This fly fishing is as good as it gets. If you would like to book a charter go to http://www.riplips.com Lunch, tackle and fish slime provided. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

142. reBORN - The changing of the seasons, for some, is no more than a date on the calander. A symbolic date that signifies a change is coming. For fly fishers, or rather anybody that spends a significant amount of time outdoors, that change is more apparent. Noticed not because we know its coming, but because we can feel or sense something is different, or about to change. Our local region here in Central Pennsylvania doesn’t have the coldest or most brutal winters by far. But sometimes it can seem to linger on longer then we feel it should. Overstaying its welcome. That’s when a date on the calendar telling us its spring, feels more like a downright lie. After what can seem like an eternity of going outside and seeing black and white, that first morning you realize you don’t need your extra fleece, and can close your eyes and take a deep breath without it burning your lungs with chill. It’s like the world is turning to color, and the seasons to come relate more to the quarry you’ll fish for, rather than the equinoxes and solstices. You’ve just been reborn into a changing world. No more monotone, but rather a brilliant Technicolor of greens and blues, and hopefully browns, rainbows, and bass. 145. Coho Salmon Bucktail Trolling Fly - Trolling Bucktail style flies for Coho Salmon is an art that has come out of practice here off the Oregon coast since both wild and hatchery silver salmon runs tanked in the 1990s. Improved regulation of ocean fisheries and better survival conditions have resulted in some fairly robust runs of wild Silvers in most Oregon coastal rivers. Although the reasons for the improved runs and the health of the individual populations remain subject to debate, anglers in the ocean offshore Oregon now often find that regulations permit fishing for hatchery and/or wild Coho, albeit the regs sometimes only permit retaining fish on a few days per week and usually require use of de-barbed hooks. 149. 4 Months - Like many northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest fly fishers, we occasionally find ourselves bouncing off the walls as the dark days of winter persist. Just a few days ago a friend reminded us that the long days of high summer are just four months away. This short highlights a few bits and pieces of footage we shot on Montana's Missouri River in July of 2013 working on a project with Fire Girl Jess McGlothlin and angler Zack Williams.
