31. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 4 - The fourth episode (4 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we first follow Petra when she was patiently waiting for the massive hatches of the big may flies to begin, but she's a bit too early. Fortunately, there are always alternative water to fish along the river valley so she goes to the Gargån river for some grayling and trout instead. Later, we follow Stefan who obviously had a big fish to rise to his dry fly but we'll wait and see until the end of the film how big it was. Rolf gets angry and decides to fish with two other fly fishing legends, Jimi and Erik, in Sorsele area for big trout. Rolf is so inspired by the fantastic fishing that he swallows his pride and brings Stefan there the following weekend. Its midsummer, and then you have to choose if you want to catch big fish or eat delicious herring and dance around the maypole like the old Swedish tradition. 32. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 6 - The sixth and final episode (part 6 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow John and Stefan on a fishing trip up to the head waters of the Vindelälven river. To get the opportunity to fish in the limited accessed section, an application has to be submitted no later than May 1 to the county board administration of Västerbotten. Then a lottery will be conducted in order to randomly distribute the currently maximum of 100 fishing days that are granted in the section. The area has limited access in order to maintain the high quality of fishing and to minimize the pressure on the nature of the area. Johan and Stefan stops, however, one night in Ammarnäs village before they head out to the mountains. Stefan tries his luck after the huge trout that annually migrate up from Lake Storvindeln and up in the Vindel River for spawning. The average weight is over 3.5 kg of these magnificent trout and there's alot of work going on with management to preserve one of Sweden's last strains of large migrating brown trout. 33. Yellow Fever - Golden dorado fly-fishing as never showed. We sought this blood thirsty predator, in a wild and untouched environment, fishing at a very intense rhythm, and with the adrenaline pumping. Explosive strikes on the surface are what every fisherman wants to see, and we will show them in large quantities. Beastliness stalking behind every sunken trunk and in every ravine. Nothing is safe from its tremendous power. Solely designed to kill, he is the one in charge in the Paraná River. YELLOW FEVER: the illness every fisherman will suffer from the moment he first makes contact with this wonder of the aquatic world. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

34. Blue River Bad Boys - Back in the late 90's I worked as a part time fly-fishing guide for my friend, and bad ass angler Todd Andersen. We were total tailwater junkies back in the days when the fish were big and you had to have serious skills to even hook up. When Todd decided he wanted to shoot a video to promote his fly shop he called on yours truly. With our amateur film crew in tow we headed off to what was once the mighty Blue river in Silverthorne, Colorado and we slammed trophy fish one after the other. Sadly, the rivers of Colorado were crippled by a drought shortly there after and the rivers still, to this day, have barely recovered. The main food source needed to grow large trout is the small mysis shrimp and they have almost completely vanished. Even though the water levels have recovered, the river flows remain inexplicably erratic and low. I return to Colorado every year to fish and it breaks my heart that what were once great fisheries, are now a scant fraction of what they were. This video proves that with the proper care and the right leadership, our Colorado rivers can be the best in the world. I hope that every fisherman who watches this video is both delighted and infuriated. So, do your part and call the Division of Wildlife, Trout Unlimited and the Colorado Legislators for the mountain communities and demand action! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

35. A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelaelven - part 2 - The second episode (2 of 6) of A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley. In this episode we follow Viktor, Tor and Stefan, who in June head to the restored tributary "Ruskträskbäcken" for both grayling and brown trout. We also get to meet fishery conservation area chairman Kaj Gambäck who enthusiastically tells about how they work with management to promote fishing which they have done very successfully with the modern applied regulations. In June, the normal spring run off the main Vindelälven river is high, but fortunately this period provides the absolute best fishing in tributaries and in the smaller lakes and ponds found along the river valley. Brown trout tend to be very active and can surprise with really fine specimens. Fishing site: Ruskträskbäcken (see google maps). Fishing management area: Ruskträsk FVO Contact: Kaj Gambäck Chairman. Salmon Run - Finnmark - Normally salmon run means: "The salmon run is the time when salmon, which have migrated from the ocean, swim to the upper reaches of rivers where they spawn on gravel beds." In Finnmark it means that fly fisher is running after the salmon for over 1 kilometer of rapids. Fly fisher Jasper Pääkkönen had epic salmon run at Finnmark in August 2014 with #6 rod.
