61. Bastard Crab - I call this fly the Bastard Crab because it is my bastardization of a great pattern I picked up from Greg Vincent, who runs H2O Bonefishing on Grand Bahama Island. Greg is a fantastic fly tyer, and ties some productive and great looking flies. I used one of his crab patterns on a trip there in June 2008, and came home and tied my version from memory, with a little bit of a pesonal twist - not as nice a fly as Greg's, but the bastardized version is also very effective. I've caught bonefish, redfish, and tripletail on this pattern so far. I've also seen this type of pattern showing up in numerous other spots, suggesting it is widely effective. This pattern is a variation of the famous Del Brown Merkin crab pattern. I use Puglisi fibers for the body instead of yarn. There is no hackle for claws, only marabou, and the numerous (6 legs for size 2, 5 for size 4) legs are tied in on the hook side of the shank to that they stand up from the fly rather than splay out. The fly does not have to be stripped, the legs and marabou provide plenty of action to a falling or resting fly. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

68. Red and White Pike Fly - This fly tying video shows how to tie a big Red and White Pike Fly. Pike flies like this one are long and mean, and that is just what the fish need to take a high speed bite. This Pike Fly Pattern is simple to tie and works like a charm with the right retrieve. I suggest using a large gap hook when tying all pike flies. This pattern can be tied with many color combos and weighted if the fishing situation calls for it. Capt Matt guides in the Colorado Rockies for Trout and the Gulf of Mexico for Tarpon and Redfish. If you are interested in catching big fish from the front of a boat, look me up at http://www.riplips.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

69. Bonefish Bitters - The Bonefish Bitters has become a standard in and a must have pattern for just about any bonefishing destination. Originated by Craig Mathews of Blue Ribbon flies, the Bonefish Bitters, can be tied in sizes 10-6. The color of the head (the epoxyed bead chain eyes) is typically tinted. Use a tan or brown tinted fly over sand, rubble, or mud bottom. Olive is a good color for fishing over grass. Orange or Pink are great colors for attracting strikes. In this version I use clear UV Resin (Clear Cure Goo or Loon UV Fly Finish) as a substitute for 5 minute epoxy. I have had good luck tinting the head with marking pens after it has been cured with the UV lamp. The Bonefish Bitters is also great when used for Carp. It can be tied slighly larger when used for carp, where it imitates juvenille crayfish and dragonfly nymphs. For carp I like this fly in Rusty Orange, Tan, and Olive tied on a size 4 or 6. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

70. Capercaillie Sculpin - Hook: Kamasan B840 or Partridge JS11 Thread: 8/0 UniThread, white Cone: Silver conehead in the appropriate size Tails: Partridge flank feather barbs Body: Austrailian Opossom, natural Body hackles: Partridge flank feather Front hackle: Capercaillie body feather One of my goto patterns for seatrout on the coasts and bays of Djursland, Denmark. Very easy fly to tie, that fishes well all year around. If you tie the fly to the tippet with a small rapala loop, the fly has an awesome motion in the water. Looks almost like a small sculpin. You can tie them in any size you'd like, but I prefer them large - large as in size 2 or larger. The best hooks for this kind of fly, in my opinion, are the hooks with a large hook gape. I find the TMC 811S and Mustad 34007 to have too small of a hook gape for this kind of pattern. I only used the capercaillie to make a fly that sticks out, and to the best of my knowledge, I don't think there's a saltwater pattern for seatrout that uses these feathers. You can use whatever front hackle you'd like or have available. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
