82. Bullethead Caddisfly - For this tutorial, I am demonstrating the process to tie Al & Gretchen Beatty's Bullethead Caddisfly. This is a very fun pattern to tie, especially for those who enjoy spinning deer hair. There are different ways to tie this pattern, especially for the bullethead; some insist placing the bullethead hair first, while others last. I chose the former for this pattern because I dislike crowding the remaining sections of this fly. This is also a fun pattern to fish, as I describe in the video. Thanks for viewing this pattern, and feel free to leave comments/questions on this page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

83. Mercury Midge - Glass Bead Midge - Beginning Fly Tying - Mercury Midge - Glass Bead Midge. This is one of the best flies to begin a tying career. These flies are simple to tie. Tying a glass bead midge teaches how to wrap thread and how to rib a body. Probably the best reason for tying this pattern is, that despite being so simple to tie, it catches loads of fish. For the waters I regularly fish, it makes more sense to tie a few dozen of these rather than tying a box full of wooly buggers. Vary the thread colors to include black, olive, and red bodies. The availability of wire and thread colors makes for endless color combinations. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

84. Black and Blue Steelhead Fly - Learn from Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactics guide Trevor Covich how to tie a relatively simple yet highly effective steelhead fly. If you tie and fish a lot and want a fly that looks great, catches a lot of fish and doesn't take you forever to tie, you would be well served to learn the techniques presented in this video. With a single post of Arctic fox and ostrich and flash spun in a dubbing loop, this fly has tremendous motion in the water but can be cranked out quickly enough to till up your box. Check out opskagit.com for some of the materials and tools used in this video. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

85. Fall Special - A short fly tying video showing how to tie a Fall Special Nymph. This bead head fly is tied using a #16 nymph hook, but this simple pattern can be tied to match the hatch. I use the Fall Special just about all year, and especially August through October. I believe that this pattern looks like a drowned PMD Spinner or perhaps a struggling nymph. This fly will work best whenever you see brown or rusty spinners over the water. If you have ever considered fly fishing in the Colorado Rockies, this is your year. Recent years of low water have made the hatches bountiful and long lasting. The fish are bigger and stronger than you might think. Consider hiring me, Capt. Matt, to show you an incredible fly fishing experience from a boat when you travel to the Colorado Rockies this year. Go to http://www.riplips.com for information and booking. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

87. LWFF Spanflex Midge - This is one of our in house midge patterns that Chris designed several years ago. It's an extremely easy fly to tie and has proved its worth as a trout magnet! Normally we fish this midge as a dropper; however, if you put some floatant on the CDC emerger wing, it will float in the surface film. Tie a few of these up and let us know how you do! Call the shop at (512) 828-FISH if you have any questions about how to tie or fish this pattern! www.livingwatersflyfishing.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

89. The ST Stonefly - A stonefly nymph imitation that merges realistic and impressionistic concepts together to make a rather easy fly to tie. Most of the stonefly nymphs out there are either more impressionistic or extensively elaborate. This merges the two but doesn't take forever to tie. Tie these in sizes 2-10 on a 3x long shank hook. The best color combinations are golden with gold and black wire rib, brown with amber and brown wire, and black with black and gold wire. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
