71. John Barr's Bouface - This is one of my favorite patterns tied by John Barr. This particular pattern, as well as other classic Barr patterns can be found in his book, Barr's Flies. The bouface is tied to mimic a leech and can be tied in many different color variations. The combination of squirrel hair, flashabou and marabou makes this an excellent fish catching pattern. This particular pattern is tied on a AFF N201 (3x-long, humped shank, nymph hook). This hook is super strong and extremely sharp. I have caught some 20 inch trout on this pattern and have never bent or broke this hook. Check out Allen Fly Fishing www.allenflyfishing.com to view their selection of hooks, beads and much more. 72. Lightning Bug Bead Head Nymph - The Lightning Bug Bead Head Nymph (orange for this fly) is an all-purpose nymph that is used as more of an attractor pattern when fly fishing. The pattern can be varied by utilizing different materials for the tail, changing colors/sizes in the ribbing, and varying the color and material of dubbing at the thorax. Feel free to experiment with this pattern because the possibilities are endless! Featured in this fly tying tutorial are Allen Fly Fishing hooks, the N204BL (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/), which are barbless and offer a great hook for this pattern. Thanks for viewing this tutorial, and feel free to post any comments/question on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

73. Weighted SL baetis nymph - Hook: TMC 100 BL #18 & #20 Head: 2mm black tungsten bead (use 1.7mm or 1.5mm on #20 hooks) Thread: Spiderweb Tails: Hackle barbs Abdomen: Goose biot, olive Thorax: Squirrel dubbing, darker than abdomen I use this fly in Slovenia. The fly is very easy to cast on my #4 rods, and I use a small 2mm strike indicator approx. 4 feet from the fly. I fish the fly upstream to fish I've spotted as I would a dry fly. Very easy to tie, and the fly sinks reasonable fast. Not a exactly bottom dancer, but the fly does a very good job at imitating small baetis nymphs taking the last free flow of their lives. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
