42. John Anderson's Bird of Prey caddis - For this fly tying tutorial, I chose a pattern that represents a caddis pupa and emerger, John Anderson's Bird of Prey Caddis. This fly consists of just a few simple materials, but as you'll see, all of them are considered some of the best to use in fly tying. I do vary this pattern slightly from the original, but kept the most critical components to ensure its effectiveness. I recommend this pattern for intermediate fly tyers, though those at an "upper beginner" level will be able to complete this fly with a little practice. Featured in this tutorial are the N204/N204BL hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/); I explain a reason why I like this 2x-short hook in the video. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any questions or comments directly on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

43. Hooké à Gaspé! - Finally, here is the teaser of our adventure on the Gaspé rivers! A sneak peak of our six days trip on the York, Dartmouth and Saint-Jean rivers searching for Atlantic salmon. Leaving the banks of the Bonaventure River after flipping Cime Aventure over with a film premiere and a Hooké party, Phil and Fred took the direction of Gaspé in a semi-good shape Hooké van. At their arrival, the boys started exploring the three rivers in harsh conditions. With a crazy fast river flow and a difficult season beginning on its hands, the tribe worked hard and succeeded to get some salmon on the rod. Enjoy the teaser and keep following us in the next weeks for the clips of our complete trip to Gaspé! 44. Hen Hackle: Tips & Techniques - In this "Tips & Techniques" fly tying video, I explain some common uses for hen hackle. As a beginning fly tyer over 20 years ago, I knew little about the differences between hen and rooster, thus I wanted to give a brief overview and show a few common applications for the actual hen feathers. There are many more uses for hen hackle, but this video features the common ones that I employ, especially with JV Hen Hackle. The various applications I show are: Tailing and legs (especially for use with patterns such as the Copper John), beards on wet fly patterns, and soft hackles. These are just a few possibilities for utilizing hen hackles. Speaking of JV Hen Hackle, I want to give a shout-out to Cleawater Hackle, which is where I get the majority of the hackle I use. They have an incredible product called JV Hen Hackle, which offers smaller and softer feathers, especially for those tying trout flies. The feathers will tie down to 18 on soft hackles, and there are lots of great colors (I discuss the JV Hungarian Partridge Hen Hackle a lot in this video!). When you visit their site, be sure to let Lars (the owner) know that I sent you: http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/jv-hens/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this site, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

50. Zuddler Conehead Minnow - In this fly tying tutorial, I share a popular streamer, the Zuddler Conehead Minnow, which is a cross between two other extraordinary patterns. This fly, part Zonker and part Muddler Minnow, has lots of characteristics that fish like, including great movement from the rabbit strip and a front profile that resembles many bait fish. I offer a number of variations throughout this tutorial, and encourage you to share any you create. On a related note, this is a video response to a younger member of our fly tying community; I recommend that you check out Jordan Lee's tying of this pattern, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDkS49K6fS8 Featured in this tutorial is the S403 Streamer hook by Allen Fly Fishing. This hook is excellent to tie both this pattern and many others due to its shank being 3xl. You can view this hook at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/s403-nymph-streamer-3xl/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
