91. Fly Fishing Collaborative - as humans, we’re not meant to just consume. we meant to create beautiful things, to impact those around us, to leave a mark on the world. there needs to be a bigger purpose behind all the things that we do. that’s when it dawned on us… we can use fly fishing to create change. flyfishingcollaborative.org bucky@flyfishingcollaborative.org a year ago i spent a morning on the river with some friends who had been telling me about an organization they had started that used fly fishing to make an impact on those in need. over the past year, they have made some amazing strides, a couple weeks ago, i got back out with them. we hiked out to the river before dawn, and by the time the sun rose, i had already experienced more beauty in a few hours than i normally do in a month. and this video is a little look into some of the amazing things they are doing. i'm excited to share with you a touch of that beauty i got to experience but more so excited to share with you this amazing story and even more amazing undertaking. ip _______________________________________________________ note from bucky: None of this is possible without the friends in the fly fishing community banding together with the common focus to help. We want to thank everyone that has climbed on board with what we’re doing. It seriously would be impossible without you. I think of Marty and Mia shepherd of Little Creek Outfittters. They donated the first guided trip that we ever received. Their generosity and dedication to helping others is so inspiring. The industry is lucky to have them. I think of Joel Loffiette from Royal Treatment fly shop, and Brian Silvey, I think of Adventures Across Oregon, Small Stream Outfitters, and so many other guides, fly tiers, and good hearted people that have helped us along the way. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

93. Off The Hook - This short film tells the story of accessibility and finding personal freedom from physical barriers through the mountain bike, the trail, and the river. Even without fully functioning legs, the fluid motion of the hand cycle combined with the trail and meandering trout stream create a deep sense of rhythm. Jake is an outdoor enthusiast, and in a wheelchair. He pursues an independent life style in and around his home town of Telluride, Colorado. The community is serviced by a free, green, and accessible gondola transportation system. Off The Hook is upbeat and close up, depicting a better than average day in the life of Jake. From bed, to wheelchair, to hand cycle, he makes his way onto pristine Rocky Mountain fly fishing waters via mountain bike trails. Like the river, his journey flows and turns, can be fast or quiet, and in this moment, if he manages to catch a fish or two, that would be "off the hook!" - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

94. Tube Flies: Part 4 - During Part 4 of my series on "Tube Flies," I discuss the articles that originally got me interested in this style of fly tying based on its simplicity. Next, I give a brief overview of both "Head" and "Tail" sections, and tie a Zonker-style fly that is perfect for use whether you are fly fishing saltwater or freshwater. This is one of my favorite videos on Tube Flies because, once understood, the sections can be combined to make standard patterns longer (i.e. Deceiver, Intruder, Clouser, Zonker, Woolly Bugger) or a combination of the heads from those classics, with a variety of tail sections. As I keep saying, the possibilities are endless! As mentioned in this series, please be sure to comment on this page if you have any ideas regarding tube flies. This niche of fly tying can be overwhelming at first, but with a little time, it is definitely an area that can be both manageable and effective. Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial, and I encourage you to view my additional videos at the following website: http://www.troutandfeather.com Feel free to leave any questions/comments on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

99. Mending the Line - Trailer - Produced by Uncage the Soul Productions 2013 http://www.uncagethesoul.com Mending the Line is the extraordinary story of Frank Moore, a 90-year old WWII veteran and fly-fishing legend, returning to Normandy to fish the rivers he saw as a soldier. The feature film will release in Spring of 2014 and a tour cut will travel with the International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4) Tough as nails, gentle as a poet, and determined as a badger, 90 year-old Frank Moore loves to fish. A World War II veteran, in 1944 he landed along with some 150,000 other troops on the beaches of Normandy, France for the D-Day allied invasion. Despite the cacophony of war around him, the young avid fly fisherman couldn’t help but notice the productive fisheries on the rivers he and his fellow troops crossed as they made their way into occupied France. His lifetime accomplishments as a fly fisherman, conservationist and a veteran have earned him many awards, including the prestigious Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor, and recent induction into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. He has guided and fished with many famous anglers, including actors, congressman and executives. He built and was the long time proprietor of the world renowned Steamboat Inn along the North Umpqua River. And now, reflecting back upon his life, he feels compelled to return to the rivers of Normandy, this time armed not with a gun, but with a fly rod and reel. He is joined by his wife of 70 years, Jeanne, and his son Frankie.
