101. Foam Beetle - Twigg & Barry tie a simple foam beetle. At different times on the year, depending on the elevation of the lake (or river) being fished, beetles will become prominent. On stillwaters, look for water with vegetation overhead, or in leeward bays as food will accumulate here on the surface. This pattern is a simply take on proven beetle patterns. We've tied it an fished it before without the orange foam as a sighter. Don't try this - you'll never see it again! Tie the orange foam on, fish when there are beetles around, and enjoy watching your mates get skunked while you continue to catch fish... - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

102. March Brown Wet Fly - Here is a great traditional wet fly pattern, the March Brown. The March Brown is one of the first wet fly patterns I learned to tie and fish. In this video I stray from the standard recipe a little bit to show that your can get similar results by using what you have when you don't have what the standard calls for. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel and like us on Facebook. As always the material used in this video can be purchased from our website, http://holsingersflyshop.com. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

104. Yamamoto's FA Nymph - I can't emphasize the importance of nymph emergence during mayfly hatches and how intensely trout key on the stage. All of my literature review and observations at Livingston's spring creek support this theory. We are not talking about "misc nymph fly patterns fished under bobber". Rather, mayfly nymph as creature. Indeed fishing for this stage is as technical as dry-fly fishing for duns. FA stands for Floating & Ascending, meant to be fished in the film or slightly below during the hatch. Situation goes: trout are obviously rising but without breaking the surface. The matching dry-fly dun and its best presentation won't do a job. That's because trout are keying on ascending nymphs in the water column rather than making effort to feed on duns on the surface or in the air. That's when floating and ascending nymph patterns become key-players. 109. LWFF Spanflex Midge - This is one of our in house midge patterns that Chris designed several years ago. It's an extremely easy fly to tie and has proved its worth as a trout magnet! Normally we fish this midge as a dropper; however, if you put some floatant on the CDC emerger wing, it will float in the surface film. Tie a few of these up and let us know how you do! Call the shop at (512) 828-FISH if you have any questions about how to tie or fish this pattern! www.livingwatersflyfishing.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
