101. Iced Pupa - Wine - This is one of the most effective midge patterns that I fish in the winter and early spring. I've had success with this fly on the Colorado, Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, Gunnison and Uncomphagre rivers within the last few years. I generally fish this pattern as the "end" fly on a tandem rigging set-up. I will use a heavy tungsten fly such as a "UV Ice Prince" or "Wired UV Stone" as my lead fly. This will insure that my fly reaches the bottom fast for an optimal drift as well as attracts fish that are looking for a "hearty" meal. So tie up some of these midges and see for yourself how successful they can be. 102. Mickey Frankenbubbler - Bass popper by day, trout mouse by night. The body of this bug is like Tommy Lynch's (thefishwhisperer.com) white bellied mouse, one of the most natural and realistic looking mouse patterns out there. He dialed in the the rear articulated portion of the body to hang just below the surface, alot like a real mouse swims. I wanted to push a little more water with it so I added Matt Zudweg's (zflyfishing.com/) Zudbubbler head to it. This bug makes a alot of racket to attract day time bass and night time trout. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

103. Hen Hackle: Tips & Techniques - In this "Tips & Techniques" fly tying video, I explain some common uses for hen hackle. As a beginning fly tyer over 20 years ago, I knew little about the differences between hen and rooster, thus I wanted to give a brief overview and show a few common applications for the actual hen feathers. There are many more uses for hen hackle, but this video features the common ones that I employ, especially with JV Hen Hackle. The various applications I show are: Tailing and legs (especially for use with patterns such as the Copper John), beards on wet fly patterns, and soft hackles. These are just a few possibilities for utilizing hen hackles. Speaking of JV Hen Hackle, I want to give a shout-out to Cleawater Hackle, which is where I get the majority of the hackle I use. They have an incredible product called JV Hen Hackle, which offers smaller and softer feathers, especially for those tying trout flies. The feathers will tie down to 18 on soft hackles, and there are lots of great colors (I discuss the JV Hungarian Partridge Hen Hackle a lot in this video!). When you visit their site, be sure to let Lars (the owner) know that I sent you: http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/jv-hens/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this site, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

108. Blue-Winged Olive (BWO) Parachute - In this fly tying tutorial, I discuss and explain the steps for a Blue-Winged Olive parachute dry fly, known affectionately to many as the "BWO." This is a great all-around pattern that catches fish throughout the season; the Baetis is a bug that is common to so many of our trout streams and the fish react accordingly. I also discuss the notion of this insect being "masked" by other mayflies, such as the sulfur/sulphur. This is a common tie for a parachute dry fly, and I encourage you to check out some of my other parachute patterns via my YouTube page. Featured in this tutorial is a hook by Allen Fly Fishing ( http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl-dry-fly-wide-gape-barbless/ ); this is an excellent dry fly hook for this and other patterns. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; please feel free to leave any comments or questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

109. Frog Water - Topwater Fly Fishing for Bass in Oregon. There is something very special about wading through the flat, reed-filled water, throwing four inch long, floating frog patterns. The anticipation...waiting for the water to explode, and a football shaped fish to shoot from the water. Bass fishing is awesome, and it's very different compared to the most of the fishing we do; wading through 4-8ft high reeds, finding open, flat-water slots, is the name of the game. 110. LWFF Spanflex Midge - This is one of our in house midge patterns that Chris designed several years ago. It's an extremely easy fly to tie and has proved its worth as a trout magnet! Normally we fish this midge as a dropper; however, if you put some floatant on the CDC emerger wing, it will float in the surface film. Tie a few of these up and let us know how you do! Call the shop at (512) 828-FISH if you have any questions about how to tie or fish this pattern! www.livingwatersflyfishing.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
