151. CDC Parachute Flies - During this fly tying tutorial, I show a simple technique used for tying parachute CDC flies. This is an effective method that utilizes a great material to use with parachute dry flies, especially for those difficult fish in pressured water. With a little practice, this technique can be applied to your emerger patterns, and I believe will ultimately lead to more fish. During this video, I referenced a website to learn more about CDC feathers; you can view the information here: http://globalflyfisher.com/tiebetter/... The dubbing loop tool that I used during this video was made by Stonfo, an Italian-based company. Information about this Rotodubbing Elite can be found at the following link: http://www.stonfo.it/site/product/611... Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave questions/comments on this site, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

152. Long Shot - A story about a fly fishing couple with a shared passion for chasing carp along Colorado's Front Range. Jay Zimmerman and Erin Block share glimpses in to their lives as authors, creators of proven fly patterns, and anglers. Fly fishing for carp requires one to push the envelope in order to learn and grow, let alone connect with the fish. It is an ongoing evolution where, as in life, disparate successes are connected by a series of long shots. 156. Icewater Leech - Small and sparse, this fly makes it easier for a slow chasing rainbow or brown in cold winter temps to grab and turn on this fly. When you get a number of grabs but no hooksets on larger streamer patterns, it's time to go small. A more lethargic fish will be able to fit the hook in it's mouth a bit easier with this smaller profile streamer pattern. It's still flashy enough to get the attention of a feeding fish and will make catching fish in the dead of winter alot more tolerable. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

158. Parachute Adams Emerger - The Parachute Adams Emerger is one of the most effective mayfly patterns that I fish. I am tying this emerger pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N204BL hook between the sizes of 14 through 16. This particular hook is a barbless scud hook with a down-eye, 2x short shank and thin wire. This hook very sharp, super strong and has a beautiful nickel finish, so check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com I fish this fly throughout the late spring and summer months when mayfly hatches are present. I generally fish this fly as a trailing fly behind a mayfly dun or attractor dry fly. This fly sits low in the surface film of the water while the foam post remains visual to the angler. Many fish key on this type of pattern because of the vulnerability of the fly during its emerging stage of its life cycle.
