181. Headcase Crayfish - Here is my latest articulated streamer that I concocted to represent an adult crayfish. The fly comes in at around 3-3-1/2 inches and is what I would call a moderately weighted pattern that can be fished in a multitude of ways and with a floating or sinking line. So far she has racked up several species including northern pike, brown and rainbow trout, small and large mouth bass and even striped bass in the salt. Seconds for a great juvenile lobster pattern. Currently I tie it in the crayfish orange, olive/blue and tan colors but feel free to experiment.Cast: Richard StrolisTags: crayfish patterns, crayfish fly, juvenile lobster fly, fly fishing, flytying, trout flies, bass flies, pike flies, streamers and articulated streamers - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

187. Smoke and Mirrors:Bulls on the Metolius - Late fall fishing with streamers for Metolius Bull Trout. You gotta love trout that will eat flies the size of a bird. Every fall I spend several days hucking large chunky flesh patterns and whitefish frauds to the native bulls. Although the bulls will gladly eat small nymphs all year I'd rather Go Big or Go Home when it comes to bull fishing and so I concentrate my fishing for this great native trout in the fall during the kokanee spawn. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

188. WMD Hot Spot Nymph - The fly in this tutorial is both effective to fish and quick to tie, two of my favorite things to hear! This nymph, known as the WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction for fish?!?), has a relatively simple construction, including a thread body and added hot spot. You can vary the materials, though the easiest change is thread color. I recommend carrying this pattern in a variety of colors and sizes to represent the natural insects in your area. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N205BL hooks by Allen Fly Fishing. These hooks, featuring a fine wire and offset bend, are great looking and offer a bunch of possibilities for patterns. You can find them at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n205bl-caddis-pupa-and-larva-offset-point/ Thanks for viewing this Two Minute Tying Tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

189. Hot Spot Spider (soft hackle) - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is the Hot Spot Spider, a slight variation of the classic that so many North Country flies rotate around. Spiders, also commonly referred to as soft hackles, typically consist of thin silk thread bodies and sparse amounts of hackle from varying game birds. This pattern adds a modern material, Glo-Brite, for a hot spot by its head. In this tutorial, I also show how to properly prepare a hackle for spider and soft hackle patterns. The hook used in this tutorial is one of my favorite wet fly / nymph hooks, the W502BL from Allen Fly Fishing. With a sproat bend and 2x heavy, this classic looking nymph hook is perfect for spiders and soft hackles. You can find the hook at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w502bl-wet-fly-nymph-barbless/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial, feel free to leave comments & questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

190. Flashback Pheasant Tail Fly - This fly tying tutorial features a fantastic nymph, the Flashback Pheasant Tail fly. This bead head pattern gets down to where the fish are and has more than enough flash to attract the attention of trout. Some will vary this fly by adding a hot spot to the head, though I feel that the flashback covered in UV glue is more than ample. Feel free to post your variations of this fly; the one in this video has pheasant tail dyed olive versus the natural color. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the W501BL wet fly hooks by Allen Fly Fishing; these are excellent hooks that are useful for a variety of patterns. Check out those hooks and more at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w501bl-wet-fly-nymph-1xl-barbless/ Thanks for viewing the tying of this fly; feel free to leave comments/questions on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
