191. The Fish & The Fly 4, Streamers - Again we join Morten Oeland on fishing trips in different locations. We fish in high mountain lakes and saltwater along the open shore. The movie is about streamers and surface flies. We see the prey the streamers imitate and the different techniques Morten uses when fishing the flies. Underwater cameras have provided stunning photography of trout taking the streamers and they have documented the trout's reactions to the streamers. Up close and under water! Morten is well known for his innovative fly tying techniques, which are both simple and effective. In the fly tying movie Morten shows excatly how he ties his streamers and surface flies. Most of them are his own effective patterns. This is a movie you have to watch over and over again. It is very instructive, and it shows new techniques. But it is also a movie with beautiful scenery, fishing actions and big trout. 192. Zuddler Conehead Minnow - In this fly tying tutorial, I share a popular streamer, the Zuddler Conehead Minnow, which is a cross between two other extraordinary patterns. This fly, part Zonker and part Muddler Minnow, has lots of characteristics that fish like, including great movement from the rabbit strip and a front profile that resembles many bait fish. I offer a number of variations throughout this tutorial, and encourage you to share any you create. On a related note, this is a video response to a younger member of our fly tying community; I recommend that you check out Jordan Lee's tying of this pattern, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDkS49K6fS8 Featured in this tutorial is the S403 Streamer hook by Allen Fly Fishing. This hook is excellent to tie both this pattern and many others due to its shank being 3xl. You can view this hook at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/s403-nymph-streamer-3xl/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

196. Simi Seal Leech - Leech patterns are favorites among stillwater fishing specialists, and this pattern tends to be a common "go-to" for many. The Simi Seal Leech, created by John Rohmer, is a great fly tying pattern for everyone due to its relative ease. Variations are absolutely possible and encouraged, hence one of the reasons I tie this pattern in white to represent minnows in local waters. The hook used in this tutorial is the Allen Fly Fishing S402BL, a great barbless hook that is 2xl, perfect for streamers and longer nymphs. They can be found online: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n212bl-nymph-streamer-2xl-barbless/ Thanks for viewing this ly tying tutorial; feel free to leave comments and/or questions on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

198. WMD Hot Spot Nymph - The fly in this tutorial is both effective to fish and quick to tie, two of my favorite things to hear! This nymph, known as the WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction for fish?!?), has a relatively simple construction, including a thread body and added hot spot. You can vary the materials, though the easiest change is thread color. I recommend carrying this pattern in a variety of colors and sizes to represent the natural insects in your area. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N205BL hooks by Allen Fly Fishing. These hooks, featuring a fine wire and offset bend, are great looking and offer a bunch of possibilities for patterns.
