153. Hexy Time Spinner - With the emergence of the world's largest mayfly upon us, it's time to tie your stock of duns and spinners. The Hex is one of the most underrated hatches of the year because of the location it takes place (skunky, non-moving muddy flats). What it lacks in location it makes up for in the number and types of fish it brings to the surface. So much biomass is brought to the surface during the hatch that bottom dwelling fish such as carp, catfish, walleye, sauger, etc. will rise to the occasion to eat on top. In the Midwest the hatch is so dense that it can be recorded via Doppler radar. Focus on areas along the lower Missouri (below Cascade through Fort Benton), lower Sun River, and lower Belt Creek to have shots at fish eating this monstrous mayfly. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

154. Steeler Bugger - In this fly tying tutorial, fun is definitely the name of the game! Through a forum dedicated to fly tying, known as the Fly Tying Forum (link below), a thread was started related to your favorite football team coupled with fly tying. Put that pair together, and my pattern emerged as the "Steeler Bugger!" For starters, this woolly bugger is definitely just a fun pattern, being that I've never fished it (yet!). I wanted to focus on black and gold colors, as my team is known for. Basically, I wanted a fly that had the potential to catch some fish, represent my hometown team (the Pittsburgh Steelers) and play along with the forum fun...hence the "Steeler Bugger." Feel free to check out the forum at the following link: http://www.flytyingforum.com/ Thanks for viewing; if you have any questions/comments, you may leave them directly on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

155. Blue-Winged Olive Comparadun (BWO with Snowshoe Rabbit Feet) - In this video, I tie a simple, yet effective pattern known as the BWO Comparadun that can imitate various stages of the mayfly. The stage I tie closely resembles the dun, but can also be easily modified into the emerger or spinner stage. One of the materials used is Snowshoe Rabbit Feet for the wing, which is a material that helps to maintain a superior buoyancy with the fly. This material can also be substituted with cdc for similar results, though you may want to select a material that works best in the style water you will be fishing. Throughout this video, I suggest ways that you can tie this fly to represent your local mayflies, and offer suggestions on modifications to imitate other stages. As always, thanks for all of the views and comments on my other videos. Good luck tying this pattern, and feel free to post any questions/suggestions on this site, or email: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
