12. Flashback Pheasant Tail Fly - This fly tying tutorial features a fantastic nymph, the Flashback Pheasant Tail fly. This bead head pattern gets down to where the fish are and has more than enough flash to attract the attention of trout. Some will vary this fly by adding a hot spot to the head, though I feel that the flashback covered in UV glue is more than ample. Feel free to post your variations of this fly; the one in this video has pheasant tail dyed olive versus the natural color. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the W501BL wet fly hooks by Allen Fly Fishing; these are excellent hooks that are useful for a variety of patterns. Check out those hooks and more at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w501bl-wet-fly-nymph-1xl-barbless/ Thanks for viewing the tying of this fly; feel free to leave comments/questions on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

13. CrawBody Crayfish - In this fly tying tutorial, I demonstrate the tying methods for a fly called the CrawBody Crayfish. Representing a favorite meal of both trout and smallmouth bass, the crayfish as a pattern is intended to be fished lower in the water column, and can be utilized in both streams and lakes. There are many variations that you can make to this intermediate pattern, thus feel free to experiment and determine what works best on your local waters. Featured in this tutorial are the S402/S402BL hooks by Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/s402-streamer-2xl/) these hooks are perfect for this style of pattern. Also of interest to today's fly tying world are the unique CrawBody forms used, created by Flymen Fishing Company (http://flymenfishingcompany.org/products/fish-skull-products/crawbody/) they make the tying of this fly extremely easy. Thanks for viewing this tutorial; if you have any questions/comments, feel free to leave them on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

14. Purple Rockfish Candy Fly Tying Video - The Purple Rockfish Candy is another Pacific Saltwater fly inspired by the Bob Popovics' Surf Candy fly style. Our Pacific Bottom-fish, including Black Rockfish, have teeth and a chomping ability that can wreak havoc with our flies. The use of Fishient Fish Scale synthetic material makes it relatively straightforward to create a slim, shimmery baitfish profile with this fly. I prefer Tack Free Cure Goo versus Thick, because I like a very slim profile fly. This color combination is but one of several I have fished successfully for Black Rockfish off Oregon. This is a relatively subtle color combination and the fly is relatively long. 15. Emergence Caddis Larva - The Emergence Caddis Larva is one of my favorite caddis larva patterns to tie and fish. It closely resembles John Barr's Uncased Caddis but with a few different materials and tying techniques. I am tying this pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N202 hook. This particular hook is a down-eye, 3X-long, standard wire, slightly humped nymph /dry fly hook. It works great for caddis and terrestrial nymph and dry fly patterns. Check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com This particular caddis larva pattern is tied to imitate an uncased caddis larva beginning its emergence stage of its life-cycle. I generally fish this pattern as my first fly in a tandem nymph rigging set-up between late spring and early fall. The fly gives off a lot of UV light qualities which attracts fish. The UV Fly Finish Coating provides the fly with a lot of depth. Below is a quick reference on what size brass bead to use relative to the size hook you're tying on. Allen Fly Fishing Hook Brass or Tungsten Bead Size 12 1/9" (2.8mm) Size 14 1/10" (2.4mm) Size 16 1/10" (2.4mm) To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

16. Parachute Tools Overview - During this fly tying tutorial, I chose to share some tools that are beneficial when tying the parachute post of a parachute dry fly. Though not required, parachute post tools help to make the task a lot easier and faster, two components that few can argue with. Feel free to share your own technique(s) regarding tying parachute posts, as I am positive that many additional and effective ones exist. Thanks go out to Stonfo fly fishing products for their use of these parachute tools; you can find these and many more items at the following link: http://www.stonfo.it/site/index_en Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

17. Shakey Beeley Slate Drake (Isonychia) Soft Hackle - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is an absolute fish-catching soft hackle fly called the Shakey Beeley, care of Blue Ribbon Flies and Mr. Nick Nicklas. As explained in this video, there is a great story accompanying the fly, though the line between fact and fiction is a tad grey. Regardless, this pattern has earned a place in many fly boxes for its ability to imitate various insects, from emerging mayflies to drowned stoneflies. In this tutorial, I explain the techniques to tie the Shakey Beeley as an Isonychia, aka Slate Drake, plus a few methods to fish the pattern, as well. Feel free to modify this fly to match the natural insects on your home (or traveled to!) waters. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N202 hooks by Allen Fly Fishing; be sure to check out these hooks and many others at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n202-nymph-dry-fly/ Additionally featured in this tutorial is hen hackle from Clearwater Hackle; please check out that hackle and many others at the following link: http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/mature-hens/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial for the Shakey Beeley; feel free to leave comments/questions on this page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

19. The Humpy Dry Fly - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is a pattern that I love to fish, the Humpy dry fly. This is a great attractor fly that trout really seem to love, especially when fishing it in faster currents. I was fortunate enough to have my Uncle John Cammisa tie the pattern on this video, and this is a special treat, being that he has been tying for over half of his life (age 82 in this video!). The tying of this pattern is not the simplest, thus I frequently will "commission" one of my favorite tyers (my Uncle John) for some of these flies. During this tutorial, my uncle goes into great detail and leads you through the required procedures to make the tying of this pattern much easier. To begin the video, I conduct a brief interview of my uncle, which then leads into an examination of a finished Humpy. This is followed by the tutorial, which my uncle concludes the fly for the camera, but still wanted to clean-up the finished product. After he cut away some fibers that were out of place, I took one final picture so all viewers can see what the finished fly looked like. Thanks go out to my uncle for agreeing to tie this pattern; he is a fantastic craftsman and has been one of my greatest fly tying mentors throughout my life. Thank you for viewing this tutorial, and please feel free to leave any comments/questions on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

20. Zuddler Conehead Minnow - In this fly tying tutorial, I share a popular streamer, the Zuddler Conehead Minnow, which is a cross between two other extraordinary patterns. This fly, part Zonker and part Muddler Minnow, has lots of characteristics that fish like, including great movement from the rabbit strip and a front profile that resembles many bait fish. I offer a number of variations throughout this tutorial, and encourage you to share any you create. On a related note, this is a video response to a younger member of our fly tying community; I recommend that you check out Jordan Lee's tying of this pattern, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDkS49K6fS8 Featured in this tutorial is the S403 Streamer hook by Allen Fly Fishing. This hook is excellent to tie both this pattern and many others due to its shank being 3xl. You can view this hook at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/s403-nymph-streamer-3xl/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
