104. Fly Tying with Ryan- Tim Wade's North Fork Special - Learn to tie the North Fork Special, a fly designed by Tim Wade owner of Cody, Wyomings North Fork Anglers. We use this nymph quite a bit in the Black Hills. The North Fork Special makes a nice lead fly in a two fly nymph rig. It is heavy enough to eliminate the need for split shot in many fishing situations. This variation, tied by Ryan Gabert, has a gold bead and black biots. Tim Wade's original North Fork Special uses a silver bead and gray biots. Thanks for watching and happy tying. more videos at www.flyfishsd.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

105. Josh's White Lightning - In this fly tying tutorial, I feature a fly that was created by Josh Williams of Dead Drift Flies (http://www.deaddriftflies.com/). This pattern, Josh's White Lightning, is an attractor nymph that fishes well in a lot of water types, including slightly off-color. This is an easier pattern to tie, and I encourage you to vary it based on the fish in your area (color modifications would be the best to play around with). Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N202 hooks by Allen Fly Fishing. I utilize these for a lot of patterns, including some hoppers, terrestrials, nymphs, and certain soft hackles. They can be found at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n202-nymph-dry-fly/ Thanks for viewing this tutorial; please feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

108. Skinny Nelson and variations - During this fly tying tutorial, I decided to give detailed tying instructions for Tracy Peterson's "Skinny Nelson," plus a few variations of the pattern (including a great one for midges). This pattern was originally developed for skinny water (as a baetis or midge imitation), but has since become known for its powers in the deep, primarily due to the addition of a tungsten bead. Popular species to fish for with this pattern include trout, grayling, steelhead, and salmon. In the second part of this video, I show and explain a number of ways to vary this pattern, which adds a lot more to the pattern. Please note that I chose to tie this on a standard-shanked hook, which is more representational of the flies in my area. I do mention a 1xl hook during the tutorial, which may better represent insects in your area. Speaking of hooks, the one I recommend for this pattern (and many other nymphs) is the W502 by Allen Fly Fishing. Both this and its counterpart (the W520BL barbless model) are excellent hooks that help to get the fly down quickly. Check out this model and others @: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w502-wet-fly-nymph/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave comments/questions on this YouTube page, or you can email me at: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

110. Biot Body Sulfur Parachute Dry Fly - Featured in this YouTube fly tying tutorial is the Biot Body Sulfur Parachute dry fly, a pattern intended to represent the adult/dun stage of the sulfur mayfly. I prefer a turkey biot body on this pattern in specific instances, including low-water situations and over highly-pressured fish. The biot body creates an excellent segmentation that closely represent the natural insect. If you feel there are additional materials to create a similar effect, please share those in the "Comments" section of this video. Thanks go out to Allen Fly Fishing for the use of their D102BL dry fly hook; you can find this hook, and many others, at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl-dry-fly-wide-gape-barbless/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
