31. Sulfur (Sulphur) Parachute Emerger - In this fly tying tutorial, I imitate the stage occurring prior to the mayfly turning into an adult, the emerger stage. Using a sulfur (sulphur) as my base pattern, I briefly discuss the qualities that make this fly an emerger, list the needed materials, and then give a fly tying tutorial of the pattern. This is a great pattern to use once you begin to see trout feeding on the surface during the beginning stages of the hatch. Featured in this tutorial is a hook by Allen Fly Fishing ( http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl-dry-fly-wide-gape-barbless/ ); this is an excellent dry fly hook for this, and similar, patterns. Also featured is saddle hackle by Clearwater Hackle ( http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/saddles/ ); I encourage you to utilize this incredible hackle, which is found in a variety of colors. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; please feel free to leave any comments or questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

36. Silver Glödhäck - Anton Pousar tying a scandinavian style tube fly for salmon called Silver Glödhäck. Me and Anton were doing a fly tying workshop and I decided to film his part for my blog. It was pretty tough to edit because there was lots of stuff I needed to cut out and speed up because the tying was focused for the tyers at the workshop, not the video. I just tried to be out of the way mostly with my camera. I also had to leave at the end and leave the camera rolling so the last parts are a bit out of focus/frame. Also tried my hand at a vintage film look so if that's not your cup of tea you probably won't like the style too much. 39. Sleeze Burger - Fly tying the Sleeze Burger by fly tyer Kris Keller of Big R Fly Shop Material list Hook: mustad 2xh/4xl size 2 Eyes: dumbell eyes 7/32 Thread: 210 ultra thread Dubbing brush: medium ultra wire Body: black rabbit strips tiger barred rabbit strips black/orange over yellow and mahi green/ black over chartreuse Tail: tiger barred rabbit strips mahi green/ black over chartreuse mfc high voltage lime The Sleeze Burger is a fly I came up with when I moved to Great Falls. It competes with the Rapala. Guys were fishing the Fire Tiger Rapala at Holter like it was going out of style and so I figured I could match it in a fly. We have caught bass, carp, walleye, catfish, rainbows and browns all on this fly. It is more of a warm water fly, imitating a perch but works well on trout too. I've netted perch on more than one occasion belly up but still kicking below Craig. Tell me a big brown won't smack that. With the neon colors, it will make them hit out of aggression. Works great in off colored water! I like to tie it on the leader with a loop and a sink tip line when I am fishing it. It makes it juke, dive and flips that belly up to makes it look like it's wounded or it's jolting after small insects. The key to tying this fly and hooking fish on it is keeping a good hook gap. Whether you're in a pond, lake, stream, or river its something you should definitely slap it and strip it. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

40. Hungarian Partridge Feathers - In this fly tying tutorial, I demonstrate three effective ways to utilize Hungarian Partridge feathers. Though I focus mainly on the breast feathers, I take some time at the beginning of the video to stress that entire skins have an excellent variety of feathers and should be utilized at the tying bench for many patterns. The Hungarian Partridge feathers are some of the most coveted in fly tying, and for many reasons. For starters, their mottling looks very similar to natural insects. Next, the feathers can be found in a variety of earth-tone colors, thereby allowing a tyer to mimic a variety of mayflies and caddisflies. Finally, when wet, these fibers tend to nearly breathe with the water, which again is very similar to the natural insect. Once you combine all of these factors, it's easy to see why tyers turn to this feather more often than not. Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
