41. Olive Scud Nymph - In this fly tying tutorial, I demonstrate various techniques and methods to tie an Olive Scud Nymph. Scuds are a prolific insect found in spring creeks, thus having various colors and sizes of these in your box will pay dividends towards your fishing. Aside from showing the materials and methods for this scud, I also demonstrate how to burn monofilament eyes if you're going for that realistic look with this fly. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N205BL hooks by Allen Fly Fishing. These hooks, their Caddis Pupa & Larva model, have an excellent bend to help represent the scud, plus are barbless. Check out these and more at their website: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n205bl... In the video, I referenced an online article by Dave Karczynski, in which he interviewed Mat Wagner to discuss scuds. The article can be found at the following link: http://midcurrent.com/flies/all-thing... 42. Holy Grail Nymph - During this fly tying tutorial for the Holy Grail nymph, I give a brief background on how I came across the pattern, followed by the materials and tying procedures. The Holy Grail, which I first came across on the Orvis website, is a no-nonsense pattern that can be utilized for both caddis and mayfly nymphs. It can easily be fished in a "dry-dropper" situation, and colors I recommend aside from this olive pattern include tan, brown, and black. If you decide to alter this pattern and find your variation more effective (or simply unique!), be sure to share in the comments section below. Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N204BL hooks from Allen Fly Fishing; you can find these hooks and many others at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/ Additionally featured in this fly tying tutorial is UNI-Mylar in the Holographic Chartreuse color. This material is another great one in the UNI line, and you can view information about their products at the following link: http://www.uniproducts.com Finally, this video featured the Stonfo Kaiman vise, which I have received a lot of comments about. I recommend this vise to all ranges of tyers, and you can find information regarding it at the following link: http://www.stonfo.it Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial on the Holy Grail Nymph; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

43. The Royal Trude and Variation - For this fly tying tutorial, I wanted to bring more light to a tradition pattern, the Royal Trude. Instead of simply describing and tying this fly, I focused on possible variations that a tyer would make to enhance the fly, bringing it up to more "modern-day" materials. The original pattern is a highly effective fly, being fished as a dry (attractor), wet fly. and streamer; the variation is able to be fished this way, too. Other common flies this pattern can represent include terrestrials, stoneflies, caddis, and drakes. Current versions of this fly are also well-known; the Lime Trude won a One-Fly contest, thus solidifying this pattern for years to come. Featured in this tutorial are D102BL dry fly hooks by Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl... these hooks are excellent for a variety of dry fly patterns. A second product featured is the cape by Clearwater Hackle (http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/capes/); this product is some of the best available on today's market. 44. Fly Tying Variations - During this tutorial, I go through the tying of the Prince nymph pattern, with the focus on my thought process when making variations to the original pattern. As an experienced fly tyer, making variations is something I complete with ease, but I understand that those with less experience are interested in why certain decisions are made when tying. Throughout this tutorial, the areas to vary include beads, weight, tails, ribbing, body material, hackle/legs, and the stingers. There is also time spent discussing hot spots @ the front of the pattern. Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial on variations; feel free to leave a comment/question on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

45. Irresistible Dry Fly - Tying a size 10 dry fly can always be challenging, yet here's a fun (and effective!) one to try. Featured in the video are D101BL dry fly hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d101bl-standard-dry-fly-barbless/), which have begun to garner great reviews from tyers, including on that hook's website. I chose an Irresistible dry fly for this tutorial, which can be normally tied with characteristics similar to an Adams, though I chose a larger pattern which can represent many insects on the water. The tying of this dry fly includes a few intermediate techniques, but none that can't be mastered with a little practice. Thanks for viewing, and feel free to leave any comments on this page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

47. Fly Tying Techniques for Tying with Beads - Many advanced fly tyers take the process of tying with beads for granted, especially when introducing them to beginning tyers. In this tutorial, I discuss the differing types of beads, their uses, sink rates, and placing beads onto a hook. This is an introductory video intended for the beginning tyer, and I encourage those just starting in fly tying to familiarize themselves to this material, simply due to their effectiveness in catching fish. Thanks for viewing this video, and feel free to leave comments and/or questions on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

50. John Anderson's Bird of Prey caddis - For this fly tying tutorial, I chose a pattern that represents a caddis pupa and emerger, John Anderson's Bird of Prey Caddis. This fly consists of just a few simple materials, but as you'll see, all of them are considered some of the best to use in fly tying. I do vary this pattern slightly from the original, but kept the most critical components to ensure its effectiveness. I recommend this pattern for intermediate fly tyers, though those at an "upper beginner" level will be able to complete this fly with a little practice. Featured in this tutorial are the N204/N204BL hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/); I explain a reason why I like this 2x-short hook in the video.
