95. Hot Spot Spider (soft hackle) - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is the Hot Spot Spider, a slight variation of the classic that so many North Country flies rotate around. Spiders, also commonly referred to as soft hackles, typically consist of thin silk thread bodies and sparse amounts of hackle from varying game birds. This pattern adds a modern material, Glo-Brite, for a hot spot by its head. In this tutorial, I also show how to properly prepare a hackle for spider and soft hackle patterns. The hook used in this tutorial is one of my favorite wet fly / nymph hooks, the W502BL from Allen Fly Fishing. With a sproat bend and 2x heavy, this classic looking nymph hook is perfect for spiders and soft hackles. You can find the hook at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w502bl-wet-fly-nymph-barbless/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial, feel free to leave comments & questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

96. Black Deer Hair Sculpin - A fly tying video showing how to tie a Black Sculpin Pattern. This cone head streamer is a great imitation of a common food source for trout in the rivers out west. This fly can be tied bigger or smaller and fished just the same. I like to use sculpin flies that are dark with an orange belly in the Fall when the sculpin themselves are spawning. Big trout seek these dark minnows and eat them on sight. Capt Matt fly fishes with streamers from the boat for trout after trout. If you would like to be a part of an epic streamer fishing experience, you need to fish in Colorado. Go to www.riplips.com for location, information and booking. 99. The Best Redfish Fly - Marsh Crab - Marsh Crab is it's name. You can't say it isn't the best if you haven't fished with it, and you will agree if you have. This deadly Redfish Fly is my favorite fly to use in the Louisiana Marsh and it works like a charm for every redfish I have cast it in front of. The advantage of this Redfish Crab Pattern is that it will always ride hook point up, it makes a realistic splash when you cast it and it is visible in almost any water condition. Redfish wolf this fly as soon as they see it. Elk hair is the material used for the body of this fly, however you can use deer hair just as easily. Capt Matt is a redfish fly fishing guide in the Louisiana Marsh throughout October, November and December, if you would like to sight fish for big Redfish in the Mississippi Delta Marsh, go to http://riplips.com Thanks for watching. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
