21. Emergence Caddis Larva - The Emergence Caddis Larva is one of my favorite caddis larva patterns to tie and fish. It closely resembles John Barr's Uncased Caddis but with a few different materials and tying techniques. I am tying this pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N202 hook. This particular hook is a down-eye, 3X-long, standard wire, slightly humped nymph /dry fly hook. It works great for caddis and terrestrial nymph and dry fly patterns. Check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com This particular caddis larva pattern is tied to imitate an uncased caddis larva beginning its emergence stage of its life-cycle. I generally fish this pattern as my first fly in a tandem nymph rigging set-up between late spring and early fall. The fly gives off a lot of UV light qualities which attracts fish. The UV Fly Finish Coating provides the fly with a lot of depth. Below is a quick reference on what size brass bead to use relative to the size hook you're tying on. Allen Fly Fishing Hook Brass or Tungsten Bead Size 12 1/9" (2.8mm) Size 14 1/10" (2.4mm) Size 16 1/10" (2.4mm) To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

22. Parachute Adams Emerger - The Parachute Adams Emerger is one of the most effective mayfly patterns that I fish. I am tying this emerger pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N204BL hook between the sizes of 14 through 16. This particular hook is a barbless scud hook with a down-eye, 2x short shank and thin wire. This hook very sharp, super strong and has a beautiful nickel finish, so check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com I fish this fly throughout the late spring and summer months when mayfly hatches are present. I generally fish this fly as a trailing fly behind a mayfly dun or attractor dry fly. This fly sits low in the surface film of the water while the foam post remains visual to the angler. Many fish key on this type of pattern because of the vulnerability of the fly during its emerging stage of its life cycle. 23. Iced Pupa - Wine - This is one of the most effective midge patterns that I fish in the winter and early spring. I've had success with this fly on the Colorado, Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, Gunnison and Uncomphagre rivers within the last few years. I generally fish this pattern as the "end" fly on a tandem rigging set-up. I will use a heavy tungsten fly such as a "UV Ice Prince" or "Wired UV Stone" as my lead fly. This will insure that my fly reaches the bottom fast for an optimal drift as well as attracts fish that are looking for a "hearty" meal. So tie up some of these midges and see for yourself how successful they can be. 25. July Fly Fishing in NE Michigan 2013 - I know I've done this same video at least four times over the years...but as I phase out doing shorts (and fly fishing content in general...getting kind of bored of it) for one last time, a week spent up at the cabin in Michigan. I fished mainly solo and tried to take at least some type of camera with me on most trips. It's tough to shoot yourself fishing and to be honest a perfect pain in the ass...but I did what I could. It ain't going to win any awards I can promise you that... - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

28. King of the Herd - New and completely fake terms are being coined. That monster group of whitefish you see huddled around a big trout. That's a herd. And that big trout flanked by those pesky whitefish is the King of the Herd. A day of fishing with the False Casts Flat Tires (FCFT) crew on the Bitterroot. It was generally slow with the exception of the 22" cutbow that Zach hooked and Anthony miraculously netted. We found some pike in some shallow backwater. All of us stung one, none of us caught one. That goal will have to wait. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

30. A Tungsten Nymph - Not a pretty fly, but effective. This is a very good general purpose nymph, useful for getting deep on streams or rivers. The clipped body gives a nice profile without bulk, and the 3mm tungsten bead helps the thing to sink. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
