61. Napoleon's Dynamite nymph - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is a pattern that is popular among the Czech/Euro nymphing crowd, Napoleon's Dynamite. This is a fly that features weight, a slender body, and a couple hot spots. Combined with those characteristics are some great colors, and we have a pattern that catches lots of fish. The hot spot can be as a tag or collar, with the former being more effective in areas that receive lots of fishing pressure. Feel free to modify this pattern to meet the needs of your fishing, and I recommend starting by substituting other fluorescent colors. Featured in this tutorial are the J100BL jig hooks from Allen Fly Fishing; check out these hooks and other fly fishing supplies here: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/ Also featured in this video are tungsten slotted disco beads from Rip Lips Fishing. These are great beads, and I encourage you to check out these and all of the other varieties here: http://www.riplipsfishing.com/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial of Napoleon's Dynamite. Feel free to leave any questions/comments directly on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

65. Long Live the King - Extended Cut - Long Live the King is a story of hope and resurgence for Alaska's great King Salmon fishery. Returning numbers of the fish have been dropping steadily, and both 2012 and 2013 hit especially hard - with multiple rivers and regions across the state seeing some of the lowest returns ever, forcing Alaska Fish and Game officials to close or severely limit salmon fishing around the state, including on some of Alaska's most iconic rivers. In addition, what is starting to seem like an all out war on salmon – mining, dams, hatcheries and the state government are all marching forward in opposition of Alaska treasure salmon resource. For many, this is an attack on religion, not just a fish. King Salmon are an icon for Alaska, and a treasured sport fish for the entire world. Long Live the King celebrates the great homecoming of salmon to the Last Frontier, while promoting a re-energized culture of sustainability among salmon fishermen and women worldwide. Through inspiring imagery, explosive fishing, emotional testimony and a tone of sustainability, respect, and stewardship, the film breathes new life into the hearts of anglers. One goal of this film is to boost the grassroots efforts of our conservation partners to defend the land, waters, cultural heritage, and invaluable resources of Alaska, including the mighty King Salmon of the Last Frontier. 70. Coho Clouser - I tend to reach for pink (at least on some days) when thinking of Coho. This Saltwater Clouser was inspired by the wild idea of creating a herring fly that has pink in it. Sure that's ridiculous, but heck, why not have fun. The Steve Farrar's materials are durable and relatively easy to work with. White belly, pink mid body, and blue herring back: great combination anywhere silvers are cruising. This fly is spiced up with painted Chartreuse eyes and a healthy chunk of lateral flash. I fish this Clouser with cast and strip in the open-ocean and troll it just like traditional Bucktail style flies -- it is effective using both tactical approaches. A fly that is rising up towards the surface particularly intrigues salmon in the ocean. I cast this fly out as far as practical, let it sink, feed slack line at times (if wind or current are taking the Dory away from the fly), and then strip it back to the boat. Pay particular attention when drawing the fly to the surface close to the boat. The biggest surprises come when salmon take the fly on the drop, these grabs are difficult to detect but great fun.
