96. Rowley Stone - Trout feed on stonefly nymphs year round. This has been the best producing stonefly pattern I've fished. The hotspot collar along with the combination of durable materials formed in the outline of a stonefly are a proven success. This fly was in the R&D stages for over four years before I was finally content with the final product. I've been fishing it successfully in both the dark variation, and the golden stone. I typically fish it in a size 6. For deep swift currents I fish this fly with a heavy tungsten bead. If I find myself on a small stream where stoneflies are found to be the food source of choice I fish it with a brass bead. My box is never void of both the tungsten version, and the brass. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

97. Steelhead Stonefly - Adding vibrant color to steelhead nymphs is critical. Here is a Rubber Leg Stonefly variation tied with a hot pink head. The Rubber Leg Stonefly was made famous long ago for trout fishing, but with the color scheme shown in this video it quickly becomes an appealing snack for steelhead. It is a quick and easy pattern that won't let you down. Chris Cutler from http://www.livingflylegacy.com/ showed me this particular Stonefly a couple years ago. Check out his blog for exciting fishing stories and great photography. The intro of large steelhead all caught nymphing is a fun twist that I decided to add. 98. Tube Flies: Part 4 - During Part 4 of my series on "Tube Flies," I discuss the articles that originally got me interested in this style of fly tying based on its simplicity. Next, I give a brief overview of both "Head" and "Tail" sections, and tie a Zonker-style fly that is perfect for use whether you are fly fishing saltwater or freshwater. This is one of my favorite videos on Tube Flies because, once understood, the sections can be combined to make standard patterns longer (i.e. Deceiver, Intruder, Clouser, Zonker, Woolly Bugger) or a combination of the heads from those classics, with a variety of tail sections. As I keep saying, the possibilities are endless! As mentioned in this series, please be sure to comment on this page if you have any ideas regarding tube flies. This niche of fly tying can be overwhelming at first, but with a little time, it is definitely an area that can be both manageable and effective. Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial, and I encourage you to view my additional videos at the following website: http://www.troutandfeather.com Feel free to leave any questions/comments on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
