102. Saltwater flyfishing down under - Saltwater fly fishing can at times be just as demanding and technical as any sweet water trout senario. Sometimes it is barely controlled chaos. 105. McLoco Beetle - The McLoco Beetle is a highly visible beetle pattern for the summer and fall months. I am using an AFF D103BL hook (down-eye, 1x-Long, 1X Fine, barbless dry fly hook). This is a sweet hook at a sweet price. Check them out at www.allenflyfishing.com. If you can't see this pattern on the water, than you really need to get your eyes checked. The peacock colored foam reflects light when on the water and the McFlyFoam hot spot is hard not to see. The best thing about this pattern is that the fish only sees the peacock underbody and the black silhouette of the shellback. When tying this pattern, make sure that the 2mm foam is cut slightly larger than the gap of the hook. This will help keep the fly presented right side up when on the water. 106. The Royal Trude and Variation - For this fly tying tutorial, I wanted to bring more light to a tradition pattern, the Royal Trude. Instead of simply describing and tying this fly, I focused on possible variations that a tyer would make to enhance the fly, bringing it up to more "modern-day" materials. The original pattern is a highly effective fly, being fished as a dry (attractor), wet fly. and streamer; the variation is able to be fished this way, too. Other common flies this pattern can represent include terrestrials, stoneflies, caddis, and drakes. Current versions of this fly are also well-known; the Lime Trude won a One-Fly contest, thus solidifying this pattern for years to come. Featured in this tutorial are D102BL dry fly hooks by Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl... these hooks are excellent for a variety of dry fly patterns. A second product featured is the cape by Clearwater Hackle (http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/capes/); this product is some of the best available on today's market. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial for the Royal Trude and Variation; please leave and comments or questions on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

107. Frosty the Snowman - Started tying this oversized lightning bug/north fork hybrid this past fall and had some great results. Seemed to work well on aggressive fall brown trout. This fly can be tied up to size 10 and is meant to catch a fish's eye. Fish this fly deep with an upstream nymphing style or fish it on the swing. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

108. Autumn Caddis Emerger - The Autumn Caddis Emerger is one of the most versatile flies that I fish. I am using an AFF N304 hook (straight-eye, 2x-short, 3x-wide scud/emerger hook. Check them out at www.allenflyfishing.com. The midge tubing and wire gives the abdomen great translucency and segmentation. The peacock dubbing and krystal flash reflects UV light quite well, while the brahma hen hackle gives great movement to the fly while in the water. I will fish this fly either on the swing or dead drift just below the surface. Try tying this pattern using different colors of thread, tubing and wire to match the caddis in your local fishery. 110. Emergence Caddis Larva - The Emergence Caddis Larva is one of my favorite caddis larva patterns to tie and fish. It closely resembles John Barr's Uncased Caddis but with a few different materials and tying techniques. I am tying this pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N202 hook. This particular hook is a down-eye, 3X-long, standard wire, slightly humped nymph /dry fly hook. It works great for caddis and terrestrial nymph and dry fly patterns. Check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com This particular caddis larva pattern is tied to imitate an uncased caddis larva beginning its emergence stage of its life-cycle. I generally fish this pattern as my first fly in a tandem nymph rigging set-up between late spring and early fall. The fly gives off a lot of UV light qualities which attracts fish. The UV Fly Finish Coating provides the fly with a lot of depth. Below is a quick reference on what size brass bead to use relative to the size hook you're tying on. Allen Fly Fishing Hook Brass or Tungsten Bead Size 12 1/9" (2.8mm) Size 14 1/10" (2.4mm) Size 16 1/10" (2.4mm) To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
