71. Turks and Caicos Bonefishing - An afternoon fish hunt aboard the bone collector. Sam's 7lb bonefish was the highlight. With a lemon shark seen moments earlier, we decided to focus on a safe release rather then digging out the video camera below deck. We hope to begin tagging these bonefish, to help better understand how often a released fish discharging pheromones will become lunch once in deeper water on the low tide. Satellite tags on mature bonefish is the next step in learning about these prehistory ghosts of the flats. On these particular conditions we had a full moon high tide and wind working together. With these conditions we were able to push a few miles into this relatively shallow canal. A spot that you can only fish a couple times a year. Long story short the fish were hungry and far from wary. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

72. Rag Man Sculpin - The Rag Man Sculpin was designed to fish faster, freestone type waters, but has proven itself on many tailwaters as well. It is a larger articulated pattern with a heavy head. This design not only gives the fly S-swim action in the water, but also creates a nice jigging movement when stripped or twitched. Don't let the somewhat simple tie fool you on its effectiveness. Lots of good things merge into one on this heavy hitting sculpin pattern. Try a variety of sizes and colors to match the sculpins in your favorite waters. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

76. Simple Stonefly Pattern - A Simple Stonefly Pattern so effective and easy to tie, it should be illegal. This fly is very realistic and because Stonefly Nymphs are in the river year round, trout bite them on sight. I like to tie it with a #8 or #6 hook with a bent shank. This nymph pattern is weighted with lead wire and I use variegated spandex rubber for the tail, legs and antenna. Tying stoneflies is only half the story. My customers catch many big fish with stonefly nymphs like this one every day. If you would like to see just how well this realistic, simple stonefly pattern works for the trout in Colorado, go to http://www.riplips.com for information and booking. 80. Capercaillie Sculpin - Hook: Kamasan B840 or Partridge JS11 Thread: 8/0 UniThread, white Cone: Silver conehead in the appropriate size Tails: Partridge flank feather barbs Body: Austrailian Opossom, natural Body hackles: Partridge flank feather Front hackle: Capercaillie body feather One of my goto patterns for seatrout on the coasts and bays of Djursland, Denmark. Very easy fly to tie, that fishes well all year around. If you tie the fly to the tippet with a small rapala loop, the fly has an awesome motion in the water. Looks almost like a small sculpin. You can tie them in any size you'd like, but I prefer them large - large as in size 2 or larger. The best hooks for this kind of fly, in my opinion, are the hooks with a large hook gape. I find the TMC 811S and Mustad 34007 to have too small of a hook gape for this kind of pattern. I only used the capercaillie to make a fly that sticks out, and to the best of my knowledge, I don't think there's a saltwater pattern for seatrout that uses these feathers. You can use whatever front hackle you'd like or have available. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
