11. Action Jackson - The Action Jackson is the most successful articulated streamer pattern that I have ever fished. I am using an AFF MP001 (up-turned eye, multipurpose, stinger hook) for the trailing hook and an AFF S404 (straight eye, 4X-long, round bend, streamer hook) for the front hook. Check them out at http://www.allenflyfishing.com. There are three things that make this pattern so effective. First, most fish do not fully eat a leach, sculpins or bait fish on the first strike; they wound them first by biting their tail. The stinger hook at the tail of the fly reduces the chances of short strikes/ missed opportunities. Secondly, the articulated portion of the tail moves freely in the water and gives the illusion of a swimming leech, sculpin or baitfish. Lastly, the squirrel hair and legs provide excellent movement in the water. The sili legs project lots of UV light that grabs the fish's attention. This pattern is also effective in the following colors; black, rust, chartreuse, brown, tan and natural. You can also tie this pattern in different lengths. Pattern Length Stinger Hook Front Hook (4X-Long) 2 inch size 10 size 8 2 ½ inch size 8 size 6 3 ½ inch size 6 size 4 4 inch size 4 size 2 To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit http://www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

13. Emergence Caddis Larva - The Emergence Caddis Larva is one of my favorite caddis larva patterns to tie and fish. It closely resembles John Barr's Uncased Caddis but with a few different materials and tying techniques. I am tying this pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N202 hook. This particular hook is a down-eye, 3X-long, standard wire, slightly humped nymph /dry fly hook. It works great for caddis and terrestrial nymph and dry fly patterns. Check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com This particular caddis larva pattern is tied to imitate an uncased caddis larva beginning its emergence stage of its life-cycle. I generally fish this pattern as my first fly in a tandem nymph rigging set-up between late spring and early fall. The fly gives off a lot of UV light qualities which attracts fish. The UV Fly Finish Coating provides the fly with a lot of depth. Below is a quick reference on what size brass bead to use relative to the size hook you're tying on. Allen Fly Fishing Hook Brass or Tungsten Bead Size 12 1/9" (2.8mm) Size 14 1/10" (2.4mm) Size 16 1/10" (2.4mm) To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

15. Great Lakes Steelhead Interceptor - MATERIALS LIST IS BELOW! This is my go-to pattern for Steelhead on Great Lakes tributaries. This pattern, in this colour is responsible for most of the fish I’ve landed in the 2012/2013 season. I based this pattern off of Greg Senyo’s JawBreaker and you’ll notice that most of my flies are based off Senyo’s designs (He’s Amazing!). I fish this fly with a stinger hook that hangs just past the tail. 16. The Humpy Dry Fly - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is a pattern that I love to fish, the Humpy dry fly. This is a great attractor fly that trout really seem to love, especially when fishing it in faster currents. I was fortunate enough to have my Uncle John Cammisa tie the pattern on this video, and this is a special treat, being that he has been tying for over half of his life (age 82 in this video!). The tying of this pattern is not the simplest, thus I frequently will "commission" one of my favorite tyers (my Uncle John) for some of these flies. During this tutorial, my uncle goes into great detail and leads you through the required procedures to make the tying of this pattern much easier. To begin the video, I conduct a brief interview of my uncle, which then leads into an examination of a finished Humpy. This is followed by the tutorial, which my uncle concludes the fly for the camera, but still wanted to clean-up the finished product. After he cut away some fibers that were out of place, I took one final picture so all viewers can see what the finished fly looked like. Thanks go out to my uncle for agreeing to tie this pattern; he is a fantastic craftsman and has been one of my greatest fly tying mentors throughout my life. Thank you for viewing this tutorial, and please feel free to leave any comments/questions on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

17. Clown Shoe Caddis - For this fly tying tutorial, I chose to tie the Clown Shoe Caddis (aka Boulder Creek Caddis), a pattern representing the emerging caddis. This pattern, created by Jay Zimmerman, gives you some flexibility when fishing, being that you can hang droppers off of the hook bend, keep the fly floating on the surface, or allow the abdomen to sit in the water. This is an intermediate pattern, plus there are opportunities for variations when tying, as described in the video. Also featured are hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n203bl/), the N203BL Shrimp/Caddis hooks, which are perfect for this pattern. 18. Chili Pepper streamer - During this fly tying tutorial, I showcase my friend Tony Spezio's pattern, the Chili Pepper fly. Tony shared a few stories related to this Woolly Bugger-type pattern, thus I take the first few minutes to share those with you. I also have modified a few of the techniques and components of this fly, but wanted to ensure that the integrity of the original was still intact. Thanks, Tony, for sharing this great pattern with me! If you have any questions/comments, please leave them on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com Editors note: You can read about several Chilli Pepper flies (including this one) in our old article about the pattern. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

20. Sulfur (Sulphur) Parachute Emerger - In this fly tying tutorial, I imitate the stage occurring prior to the mayfly turning into an adult, the emerger stage. Using a sulfur (sulphur) as my base pattern, I briefly discuss the qualities that make this fly an emerger, list the needed materials, and then give a fly tying tutorial of the pattern. This is a great pattern to use once you begin to see trout feeding on the surface during the beginning stages of the hatch. Featured in this tutorial is a hook by Allen Fly Fishing ( http://www.allenflyfishing.com/d102bl-dry-fly-wide-gape-barbless/ ); this is an excellent dry fly hook for this, and similar, patterns. Also featured is saddle hackle by Clearwater Hackle ( http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/saddles/ ); I encourage you to utilize this incredible hackle, which is found in a variety of colors. Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; please feel free to leave any comments or questions directly on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
