61. Parachute Adams Emerger - The Parachute Adams Emerger is one of the most effective mayfly patterns that I fish. I am tying this emerger pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N204BL hook between the sizes of 14 through 16. This particular hook is a barbless scud hook with a down-eye, 2x short shank and thin wire. This hook very sharp, super strong and has a beautiful nickel finish, so check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com I fish this fly throughout the late spring and summer months when mayfly hatches are present. I generally fish this fly as a trailing fly behind a mayfly dun or attractor dry fly. This fly sits low in the surface film of the water while the foam post remains visual to the angler. Many fish key on this type of pattern because of the vulnerability of the fly during its emerging stage of its life cycle. 64. Holy Grail Nymph - During this fly tying tutorial for the Holy Grail nymph, I give a brief background on how I came across the pattern, followed by the materials and tying procedures. The Holy Grail, which I first came across on the Orvis website, is a no-nonsense pattern that can be utilized for both caddis and mayfly nymphs. It can easily be fished in a "dry-dropper" situation, and colors I recommend aside from this olive pattern include tan, brown, and black. If you decide to alter this pattern and find your variation more effective (or simply unique!), be sure to share in the comments section below.Featured in this fly tying tutorial are the N204BL hooks from Allen Fly Fishing; you can find these hooks and many others at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/ Additionally featured in this fly tying tutorial is UNI-Mylar in the Holographic Chartreuse color. This material is another great one in the UNI line, and you can view information about their products at the following link: http://www.uniproducts.com Finally, this video featured the Stonfo Kaiman vise, which I have received a lot of comments about. I recommend this vise to all ranges of tyers, and you can find information regarding it at the following link: http://www.stonfo.it Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial on the Holy Grail Nymph; feel free to leave any comments/questions on this page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

66. Splitsville Caddis - Featured in this fly tying tutorial is the Splitsville Caddis, a pattern created by Jonny King. This is a newer patter that utilizes a method called the "Hackle Stacker." This method, developed by Bob Quigley, is combined with a caddis hair wing, making for an incredibly buggy look. The Splitsville Caddis is also being sold currently by Orvis, and I anticipate many fish succumbing to it over the years. As mentioned in the video, Jonny's pattern is featured in the February / March issue of "Fly Fisherman," along with other variations. I encourage you to check that issue out, and apply this technique to other flies. If you decide to adapt this method to your own patterns, be sure to include that in the comments sections on this YouTube page so that others can get their creative juices flowing, too. 68. Fluttering Little Black Stonefly - Hans Stephenson of Dakota Angler & Outfitter ties a Fluttering Black Stonefly. The CDC split winging technique gives the appearance of the fluttering wing pairs of stoneflies. While the the fly in this video was tied to match the Early Black Stoneflies, the coloration can be adapted to other stonefly species. This style of fly is an excellent imitation of fluttering yellow sally stoneflies, when tied with a yellow body, red egg sack, and light yellow or cream colored CDC. For the early little black stoneflies, tie this pattern in size 14-18. A strong fine diameter thread make a big difference when tying this pattern. Threads such as Tiemco's 16/0 or Veevus 14/0-16/0 are strong and build very little bulk. Using these threads on this pattern allow the tier to maintain a slender profile. - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

69. Green Drake Parachute - The Green Drake Parachute is a great Western Green Drake Pattern. The Green Drake is a great large attractor pattern during the summer months in the West. Green Drake hatches can often be spotty and sparse at times, so having one tied on as an attractor is a great strategy. The Green Drake Parachute is a larger mayfly dry fly pattern. Making it a great choice for a novice fly tier. The Green Drake Parachute can also be tied on other colors such as Brown or Gray. These colors will imitate other types of Drakes, such as Brown and Gray Drakes. Really fun to tie! 70. Two Tone Spinner Fly - This nymph pattern imitates a sunken Mayfly Spinner. I like to use this pattern throughout the Summer and Fall during the PMD Hatch. Yellow and Red on this great bead head nymph make it irresistible to trout in the Colorado Rockies. I like to use a stout saddle hackle on this fly because I believe it helps keep it from hanging up on the bottom. If you would like to catch a bunch of fish on spinners and other mayfly patterns, contact Capt. Matt at http://www.riplips.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
