21. Simple Stonefly Pattern - A Simple Stonefly Pattern so effective and easy to tie, it should be illegal. This fly is very realistic and because Stonefly Nymphs are in the river year round, trout bite them on sight. I like to tie it with a #8 or #6 hook with a bent shank. This nymph pattern is weighted with lead wire and I use variegated spandex rubber for the tail, legs and antenna. Tying stoneflies is only half the story. My customers catch many big fish with stonefly nymphs like this one every day. If you would like to see just how well this realistic, simple stonefly pattern works for the trout in Colorado, go to http://www.riplips.com for information and booking. 22. Lightning Bug Bead Head Nymph - The Lightning Bug Bead Head Nymph (orange for this fly) is an all-purpose nymph that is used as more of an attractor pattern when fly fishing. The pattern can be varied by utilizing different materials for the tail, changing colors/sizes in the ribbing, and varying the color and material of dubbing at the thorax. Feel free to experiment with this pattern because the possibilities are endless! Featured in this fly tying tutorial are Allen Fly Fishing hooks, the N204BL (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n204bl-shrimp-caddis-scud-thin-wire-barbless/), which are barbless and offer a great hook for this pattern. Thanks for viewing this tutorial, and feel free to post any comments/question on this YouTube page or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

23. WD-40 Bead Head Midge - For this tutorial, I chose a simple pattern that even the beginner tyer can handle, the WD-40. Modifying this pattern from the original, I chose Coq de Leon fibers for the tail and wing case. The addition of this fiber adds to the durability of the pattern, plus the fibers are mottled with great coloration. This specific pattern is tied a chocolate brown, but don't be afraid to also try black, olive, grey, and anything else would be representational on your home waters. 24. Hot Wire Prince Nymph - The Hot Wire Prince Nymph is an effective pattern, primarily because some of its best characteristics are a combination of those found in the Prince and Copper John nymphs. There are some base characteristics of the Prince Nymph, with the added Ultra Wire giving this pattern weight and color. There are many color combinations that can be used for the body, thus don't be afraid to try some others and see how they work in your area. Feel free to share those combinations in the comments below. Thanks go out to Allen Fly Fishing for the use of the W501BL nymph and wet fly hook. This is a 1xl hook that is perfect for this application. Check out this hook and more at: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/w501bl-wet-fly-nymph-1xl-barbless/ Thanks also go out to Clearwater Hackle for the JV Hen Hackle used in this pattern. There are many colors of the hackle available, thus giving you the opportunity to vary this pattern between light and dark shades. Check out more JV Hen Hackle here: http://www.clearwaterhackle.com/jv-hens/ Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial of the Hot Wire Prince Nymph. 25. Clown Shoe Caddis - For this fly tying tutorial, I chose to tie the Clown Shoe Caddis (aka Boulder Creek Caddis), a pattern representing the emerging caddis. This pattern, created by Jay Zimmerman, gives you some flexibility when fishing, being that you can hang droppers off of the hook bend, keep the fly floating on the surface, or allow the abdomen to sit in the water. This is an intermediate pattern, plus there are opportunities for variations when tying, as described in the video. Also featured are hooks from Allen Fly Fishing (http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n203bl/), the N203BL Shrimp/Caddis hooks, which are perfect for this pattern. Thanks for viewing this tutorial, and feel free to leave comments/questions on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

26. Deer Hair Ant - In this fly tying tutorial, less is definitely more! Featured in this video is a deer hair ant consisting of just a couple materials. The buoyant fly is realistic, easy to tie, and most importantly, effective. I first stumbled across this pattern in George Harvey's book and believe this to be one of the best ant patterns out there. You can also turn this into a high-visibility fly by adding some fluorescent yarn to the top. As always, if you decide to revise the pattern at all, please feel free to share the results! The hook that I feature in this fly tying tutorial is the N202 from Allen Fly Fishing. This hook is intended for terrestrials and really suits this pattern. You can view this hook (and more) at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n202-nymph-dry-fly/ Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave any comments/questions directly on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

27. LWFF Glow Bug Egg - This pattern is one of our favorite attractor patterns for Guadalupe River trout. Its simple to tie and you can finish a dozen in no time at all once you learn the basics of the pattern. Although, there are many different ways to tie this fly, we tie our version completely on the top side of the hook in order to keep the hook gap clear for good hook sets! Call the shop at (512) 828-3474 if you have any questions about the pattern. http://livingwatersflyfishing.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

28. Hans' Hopper - There are many great hopper patterns out there. This pattern combines bits and pieces of several hopper patterns, with a couple of unique twists. As with most foam patterns, this hopper floats well. The accents of uv ice dub, cdc, and web wing add a few new triggers. 29. The Royal Gorgeous Caddis - This little caddis pattern works great anywhere there are caddis larva and pupa drifting around. It is based off of the Cimarron Special, a pattern from Greg Faught, one of my favorite patterns of all time.
