22. Emergence Caddis Larva - The Emergence Caddis Larva is one of my favorite caddis larva patterns to tie and fish. It closely resembles John Barr's Uncased Caddis but with a few different materials and tying techniques. I am tying this pattern on an Allen Fly Fishing N202 hook. This particular hook is a down-eye, 3X-long, standard wire, slightly humped nymph /dry fly hook. It works great for caddis and terrestrial nymph and dry fly patterns. Check them out by visiting www.allenflyfishing.com This particular caddis larva pattern is tied to imitate an uncased caddis larva beginning its emergence stage of its life-cycle. I generally fish this pattern as my first fly in a tandem nymph rigging set-up between late spring and early fall. The fly gives off a lot of UV light qualities which attracts fish. The UV Fly Finish Coating provides the fly with a lot of depth. Below is a quick reference on what size brass bead to use relative to the size hook you're tying on. Allen Fly Fishing Hook Brass or Tungsten Bead Size 12 1/9" (2.8mm) Size 14 1/10" (2.4mm) Size 16 1/10" (2.4mm) To view RK's Fly Design complete fly collection Visit www.facebook.com/RKsFlyDesign - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

24. Last Chance CDC Baetis Cripple - Rene Harrop's fly patterns were developed with an experienced eye for detail. Proven on the Henry's Fork, one of the most demanding trout fisheries in the country. The Last Chance Cripple series are great patterns for selective fish. We use this Baetis version on our local tailwater with great success. Tie in sizes 16-22 for a Baetis (aka Blue Winged Olive) Cripple. The pattern is easily adapted to imitate other mayfly species. Thanks for watching! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

25. John Barr's Bouface - This is one of my favorite patterns tied by John Barr. This particular pattern, as well as other classic Barr patterns can be found in his book, Barr's Flies. The bouface is tied to mimic a leech and can be tied in many different color variations. The combination of squirrel hair, flashabou and marabou makes this an excellent fish catching pattern. This particular pattern is tied on a AFF N201 (3x-long, humped shank, nymph hook). This hook is super strong and extremely sharp. I have caught some 20 inch trout on this pattern and have never bent or broke this hook. Check out Allen Fly Fishing www.allenflyfishing.com to view their selection of hooks, beads and much more. 26. Iron Blue Dun - Most dry fly anglers will know this particular fly. The iron blue dun. It’s a small may fly that can appear throughout the year. It’s one of the very few patterns that can be fished in the early spring or late autumn. There have even been reports of this fly hatching in the winter. So I good all-round fly one could say. There are many different patterns that imitate this fly. My favorite one is with CDC feathers. They float like a cork and fish seem to like ‘em! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher
