21. Purple Rockfish Candy Fly Tying Video - The Purple Rockfish Candy is another Pacific Saltwater fly inspired by the Bob Popovics' Surf Candy fly style. Our Pacific Bottom-fish, including Black Rockfish, have teeth and a chomping ability that can wreak havoc with our flies. The use of Fishient Fish Scale synthetic material makes it relatively straightforward to create a slim, shimmery baitfish profile with this fly. I prefer Tack Free Cure Goo versus Thick, because I like a very slim profile fly. This color combination is but one of several I have fished successfully for Black Rockfish off Oregon. This is a relatively subtle color combination and the fly is relatively long. 23. Blue-Winged Olive Comparadun (BWO with Snowshoe Rabbit Feet) - In this video, I tie a simple, yet effective pattern known as the BWO Comparadun that can imitate various stages of the mayfly. The stage I tie closely resembles the dun, but can also be easily modified into the emerger or spinner stage. One of the materials used is Snowshoe Rabbit Feet for the wing, which is a material that helps to maintain a superior buoyancy with the fly. This material can also be substituted with cdc for similar results, though you may want to select a material that works best in the style water you will be fishing. Throughout this video, I suggest ways that you can tie this fly to represent your local mayflies, and offer suggestions on modifications to imitate other stages. As always, thanks for all of the views and comments on my other videos. Good luck tying this pattern, and feel free to post any questions/suggestions on this site, or email: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

25. Showcasing Peacock Dubbing - For starters, let it be known that not all peacock dubbing is created equal! In this fly tying tutorial, I showcase various peacock dubbings, including the pros & cons of each. After each material is used, I also let you see how it looks when wet, which is a critical part of selecting the material for dubbing. Finally, I also tie with both natural and dyed peacock (to further confuse you!). Thanks for viewing this fly tying tutorial; feel free to leave questions/comments on this YouTube page, or email me: tcammisa@gmail.com - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

27. The BC Needlefish - Trolling Bucktail style flies tied on tubes was very common during the glory days of ocean Silver Salmon recreational fisheries of the 1950s -- 1980s from Northern California through SE Alaska. Regions like Puget Sound and Vancouver Island spawned many versions of Coho Tube flies that had local followings and rationale for the selection of one pattern over another. Near as I can tell, fly anglers used these tube Bucktail flies to troll as well as cast to feeding Coho in saltwater. The various fly patterns are sometimes suggestive of a natural baitfish and sometimes just wild bright flashy fish strike attractors. This Tube Bucktail is a simple pattern inspired by several flies I have seen popularized by BC anglers specifically imitating big Needlefish. The Steve Farrar's Blend material is easy to work with, durable, and swims your fly true, without the worry of needing to select the perfect Bucktail hair.
