34. Tying Dry Fly Tails with Microfibetts - During this tutorial, I explain three techniques for utilizing microfibetts when tying dry flies. There are other options available for adding tailing fibers, yet these three are all quick and easy, plus help to imitate the natural adult stage of the mayfly. After tying the tailing fibers in, continue to finish the fly with either dubbing, herl, quill, etc. I prefer the use of microfibett tailing fibers with finicky trout, especially when I want to ensure the fibers will closely represent the natural insect while maintaining buoyancy for the pattern. 37. DJ-Special Bonefish fly - I was introduced to this pattern by Dale and Joanie when I met them on a flat that had a lot of tailing bones at that time, I was eager to fish but decided that it was best to chat with them first. They where very nice and we began discussing Bonefish flies very quickly. I showed them my box and they loved my DD-Shrimp, so I gave them a few to try. In return Dale showed me his secret fly, no name and a no nonsense fly, but it looked very.... very fishy! I caught a bunch of bones on Dales fly that trip and it is a standard in my box now! Representing a small crab or a hermit-crab it looks different than most patterns. So tie some over Dales special flies for your next outing, the bones will love them! - fly fishing video channel - Global FlyFisher

39. Tie2Throw Steelhead / Seatrout pattern - This is a truly amazing fly! I fish it for Seatrout when it's dark and Steelhead. You can fish it with a sink-tip / polyleader at any depth, but it can also be fished on top for the summer run Steelhead! Because of the foam head it pushes a lot of water and the fish feel that with their lateral line! Wanna fish it even deeper but you want the foam head... no problem just add a copper/tungsten etc. tube! Adapt the size and color for trout fishing they will love it. Give this great pattern a try!
