What to do and what not to do|
We have tried to keep the rules simple, but there is a lot of things to consider, so excuse us if we seem a bit too harsh. We just want to avoid misunderstandings.
Any fly tyer from any country is elegible.
Ineligible are persons involved in arranging and judging the FlyMeister 2001 tying contest and people employed by the sponsors.
Participation os free. There is no entry fee. Postage and other costs for sending in flies and entry forms will be covered by the contestants themselves.
Number of flies
A contestant can participate with one fly in each category.
That means that any participant can submit a maximum of six flies.
The flies and fully qualified contest form has to be in the hands of GFF staff member and contest official Bob Petti before or on November the 12th 2001. See the instructions for more details.
Any flies arriving after that date will be ineligible.
GFF will not be liable for any damage to flies during shipping or handling before or during the contest and show.
Anonymity and privacy
All personal information will be kept strictly confidential and will be used only to communicate with entrants about the contest. It will not, under any circumstance, be used for commercial purposes.
The names and address of the contestant will only be known to the Global FlyFisher staff until the judging has taken place and the winning flies have been chosen.
The flies will be the property of the Global FlyFisher as soon as they have been entered in the contest.
Fly images and patterns may be used for GFF purposes outside the scope of this contest.
The contestants and winners are themselves responsible for reporting prizes as income where it applies and paying any local taxes or VAT that might be charged upon recieving a prize or any other item in connection with the contest.
The arrangers will not pay these taxes and can not be held responsible for any debts resulting from recieving the prizes.
Any contestant not complying with the above rules will be disqualified.
