It's been a while, I know. Work has had me chained to the trees and bushes but I have been fishing the salt - more than normal. Standing in warm salt at least 4 times a week when my kids drifts off into their deep sleeps, holds an undying attraction for me. A healthy obsession one might say...

In fact, I haven't even managed to dabble in the streams of Jutland, which, for those that know me, is a first.

The salt has blessed me so far this year with many sea trout and one rather fat mullet. The latter being my main quarry having seen many and lost a few. But such is life. It is still early and I know where they are and something most "mulleteer's" don't.....?

I thought I would post a few pictures of the last nights silver in the company of my fishing buddy, Steve.
Together we have found the end of the rainbow and fishing has been awesome and so have the waterside sausages, icy beers, distant displays of lightning and company.

So, before I begin, please excuse the pictures which are far from being artistic. They are raw and set in the magnificent warm summer light nights of the coast of Fyn. Hard to see in the pictures but believe me - they are.

I wish I could post more - maybe I will - but excuse me...I am off to the salt again!

This is one I caught a while back in soaring heat. A lean specimen that deserves it's right to spawn.

Steve's beauty. This trout took him into backing just metres from the spool and wrapped itself around a buoy. He still got it in, snapped the picture and out he went. Already dressed in it's spawning colours. An early runner...

Ripley,

Good to have you posting again, and really nice to see some fish and hear that you and Steve had some good fishing. Amazing how the salt keeps on fishing well in spite of the heat and bright sunny days.

Martin
