I have started using a scanner for fly pictures. It is a lot simpler.
Whirling Dun
Hook: #12 Grip
Thread: Yellow 14/0 Sheer
Body: Lightly dubbed with fox cub,
used Argentine hare Red Oxide.
Hackle: Medium dun hen.
The Arg hare was a bit of a guess, I think fox cub may be more greyish.
This is from Turton's list (1835).

Back in the heydays I used to scan all flies for GFF. That was the reason the site was B/W in the start - I only had a B/W scanner. Color scanners were expensive!
It's been a long time since I did so, because even though it's convenient, photos do come out better I think, and the problem with squashed hackles and large flies getting flattened isn't the same when you take photos.
