Havtafish,
If you're not gonna dive, consider a waterproof camera such as the Pentax or Olympus models. They are a lot smaller and more convenient than a camera with a UW-housing.

I would like to go with an UW housing so I can take UW shots or partial UW shots Martin. I just dropped my camera in the drink and its done. It just heats up now when I turn it on. That Grayling photo I posted is the cameras last If I go with an UW housing Im safe all the way around. Is there a digital camera that you would reccomend for an overall good camera. I have found a website for UW housings here in the UK. Just punch in the make and model of camera and if theres a housing for it, it comes up. Ill be looking for one with a low depth rating ie 30 metres or so. I think Ill stay away from the full blown UW housings from the likes of ikelite. Any camera suggestions would be great. Throw a few at me and Ill do some research. Thanks |

| I was looking at the Canon A95. What do you think? I agree with you(as in your article) that the flip out screen is good for taking high and low shots. I have also found a housing for it for a reasonable price |

Havtafish,
The A95 is a great camera. I have always love the A series from Canon. But the most recent is called A650 and A670 as far as I know. The A670 is a sweet little camera with the flip-out display, 7 Mpixels and some really nice features. A better choice than the discontinued 5 Mpixel A95 in my eyes. And the housing ought to be about the same size (and price?).

What did you buy Havatafish ?
I have a Nikon Coolpix 5000 and Coolpix 3100 - thought about buying an underwater housing at about £160.00 on ebay but decided to wait a while. _________________ Malc McLeman |

Hi, I’m the new “kid” on the block….
I recently went for the Canon IXUS 55 with corresponding underwater housing. The housing allows you to take pictures up to 3 m. under the water surface. Both camera and the housing are great quality. |
