Hi Everyone,

I need some help.... the cork braking disk on one of my reels is broken/torn ... it still works, but I think one decent fish will be the end of it... so the question is, can the cork disk be replaced by something else ? perhaps rubber or high-density foam? the only cork I have seen cut this thin is used for tiling....but the quality is bad, with lots of cracks ..i doubt if it would last.

The manufacturer of the reel does not sell replacements....and I have found nothing on the web....that is why I am looking for a DIY solution....

Hope someone has some ideas.....it would be a pity to retire the reel.

Thanks
