Phly phabricating phresh phrom the phringe...

'more phly welding pics... here's das Caped Crusader...
Why bother...?!
I was having a particularly challenging time of it, attempting to tame a batch of uncooperative cape feathers...
The quills had a bit of a structural twist to them... when thread tension was applied the shaft would rotate... slightly...
but enough to frustrate my good intentions...
'Welding allows me to position the feather and zap it when things look right...
Sofarsogood... although slick tapered hair [buck tail, etc] presents some durability issues since there isn't much to grab on to for a proper purchase...
Weshallsee... R&D... a work in progress... _________________ PeteGray

In the previous exercise I placed several CDL pheatherz over the white body to achieve a formidable contrast...
Below I welded in a Cree pheather on each side and overlayed with WHITE to subdue the contrast and insinuate a phishy profile... The inuendo of phlash under the welded pheatherz shows thru nicely... 'running lights! Dartanyan y los Tres Mousecateers showing variations and what happens when there is a notion trying to escape but NO set recipe...
and... let's NOT forget das Crustacean Nation Insinuation...
by the way...
I've made it a point to try the Big Three... Tuffleye, CCG, and Bug-Bond... These light cured acrylics are AMAZING!
My attachment to TF& FLEX is solid and goes way back and my preference for a UV free cure is a deciding factor but...
I must say that the BUG-BOND alternative is nothing short of BRILLIANT...
The BB delivery system [to include the tip kit] is second to none... when my CCG supply is gone, it will NOT be replenished... BB ROCKS... CCG not so much...
David Edwards has broken the code, hit a HOME RUN, and wins the UV challenge HANDS DOWN!
Here in los Estados Unidos BB & TF are available from the Bear's Den AND Whitewaterflies...
I'm a bit ripe to be this breathless! Suffice it to say... JUST DO IT! _________________ PeteGray
