Baltic fly patterns from Martin's vice
Another book has seen the light of day, and this time it's a pattern book with 29 seatrout fly patterns. Lavishly illustrated with pictures of the flies and lots of fishing situations. Full material's lists for all flies, tips on tying, variations and how and when to fish them. A great resource for people who want to take on trout in the salt, and want to fill the fly boxes. You can read more in our blog.
On sale from Blurb.com and available in paperback as well as hardcover with or without dust wrapper.
Yep, it's another book from the hands of a GFF partner.
This time on fly fishing one of the most beautiful places in the US Rockies: Rocky Mountain National Park. It's written by GFF partner Steve Schweitzer who has hiked, fished and photographed extensively in the park during the last decade and has summed up his experiences in this very thorough guide to fly fishing the park.
You can read more about the book and learn how to get your hands on it here.
Pictures of a passion
Photos by Martin Joergensen
This is a beautiful 8*10 inches 20*25 centimeters book with stunning images of Scandinavian seatrout fishing shot by me--GFF partner Martin Joergensen. Some of them you will recognize from the site, but most have not been published before.
The book has been produced by me and is self published and printed on demand. For each book you buy, 5 US$ will go to The Global FlyFisher and the rest will cover the production of the book, postage and handling and go to Blurb--the publishing company.
Below you can see a complete low rez preview of the book. The book is 118 pages stuffed with stunning pictures. You can order it on the Blurb web site and prices start at 35 USD without postage for the paperback version. By ordering the book you not only get a nice book, but also help us keep on running GFF as a non-commercial and ad-free web site.
Now, take a deep breath
How I turned 50 in British Columbia
Photos by Martin Joergensen and Henning Eskol (With support from Steve Schweitzer, Richard Ross & Fran Friesen)
I made an other book earlier this year as a souvenir from my trip to British Columbia, and that is also for sale through Blurb. This has been printed in an even more lavish format, measuring a whooping 13×11 inches or 33×28 centimeters. A true coffee table book, with some amazing pictures from a very nice trip to Canada. This was originally made as a private project, but should be generally interesting to any fly angler. It is also sold with a 5 dollar markup per book.
We hope you will support GFF and get some great fishing books as you do.
You can read a bit about how I made the books on my photo site 500th.net.
