Orange & heron


An oldie pattern from GFF

Denmark is one of the places in the world where real heron can be obtained legally, and I had some when I stumbled on this beautiful pattern on a big poster from the Norwegian hook munfacturer Mustad.
It seems like a nice fishing fly, and I did experiment with the pattern to make some kind of salt water fly. The heron juts doesn't stand the wear and tear af the rough high sea
The fly exists in a high rez JPEP picture too.
