Carrie Challenge II

Streamers: Back in 2002 a bunch of guys on the streamers@ mailing list decided to tie some flies "in the hand" without the benefit of a vise. This year a new crop took up the challenge with a different fly - Carrie's Favorite - and tackled the Look Ma, No Vise challange.

Thread Your choice
Body Flat silver tinsel
Underbelly White bucktail
Throat White hackle fibers, then a golden pheasant crest
Wing Four to six strands of peacock herl, two magenta hackles flanked on each side by one slightly shorter golden badger hackle
Cheeks Jungle Cock
Head Black with orange band
Cramping, cursing, bleeding, spasms and fits of rage Permitted
Crying None
