Articulated shanks

Three different ways of using shanks to enlarge a fly:
Top: The shank is the main foundation and a hook is trailing
Middle: The hook is the main foundation and one long shank is trailing
Bottom: The hook is in the front and several shanks are trailing as a flexible tail - AKA a spine
In all three cases the fly is tied on both the hook and the shank(s)
