Varying lengths

Here you see three deer hair patches with very different hair length. The leftmost is short and suited for caddis flies and Comparaduns, the rightmost is fine for muddlers and spinning smaller flies, while the middle one with hair longer than 1½ inch is best suited for spinning - and will work for larger flies.
