Cast Alaska

A very fine video from the stunning Alaska where avid anglers chase rainbow trout under all kinds of conditions - from excellent to not so good. Beautifully filmed and with some really interesting anglers portrayed. This DVD has definitely stimulated my urge to go fishing in Alaska sometime in my life.

The only knot you need... almost

This is definitely going to get me in trouble! But I guarantee you that if you learn this knot you will be able to get very far in almost all kinds of flyfishing. Use this for your daily knotting and use loops for the rest (backing to fly line, fly line to leader), and you will be able to make it through many, many fishing days.

Pike Landing

Large pike can be quite intimidating, almost scary to land. They have teeth everywhere and the danger of being badly cut is very present. But there is a grip, which is safe. By properly lifting the fish in its jaw, both you and the pike stay unharmed.
