Plu Stiniog

The subtitle is "Trout Flies For North Wales". These flies may come from Wales, but look like they can be used anywhere! Very systematic and thorough with lots of patterns each with a small description, list of materials and photos of the flies.

Djihad

The Djihad is a bright fly with a shiny body, silver combined with black and red. Just my kind of fly. I like the Irish Shrimp tradition flies, and this is such a fly on steroids. It even uses one of my favorite materials: Golden Pheasant.

Wading podcast

A trip to the southern coast of Sweden inspired Martin to do a podcast about wading on slippery surfaces in still and running water. Unfortunately the recorder broke down (drowned!) after a few minutes of recording, so most of the podcast is actually recorded in the harbor of Copenhagen.

Three in Norway

A great book about Victorian Englishmen hunting and fishing in Norway. This edition with the original drawings - with map and fifty-nine drawings on wood from the original sketches by the author, as it says on the title leaf - is global class!
