Fishy photos: Harri Hytönen

Finnish photographer Harri Hytönen was brought to my attention through Facebook and I got both a set of great pictures as well as Harri's replies to our usual questions.

Spotless fly

The two spots in the name of this fly comes from the bait, which it is supposed to imitate: the twospotted goby. Gobies - which are much like sculpins - are an extremely common kind of fish in the shallow parts of all bodies of water - fresh and salt, still and running.

Fly Waters Near & Far

GFF partner Martin Joergensen has been lucky enough to fish quite a lot of places in this world, and generally consider himself a well-travelled fly fisher. He feels that he lives up to the name of this site This book makes him humble in that respect.
