Hi
South Africa is a safe country. There are areas that are more risky, like certain areas in some of the big cities, but the outdoor no problems. Fantastic scenaries, beautiful fishing, friendly people. There are a couple of articles and pictures in the Gallery on GFF about South Africa. Read them and you will book your plane ticket

Is it safe (sorry for asking but that's what I just keep asking myself) in SA to be in the outdoors?

Great picture !

Did you play around with the coulor of the sky ? the pixels around the horizon look a bit strange - like when you use the lasso tool in PS.
