This is one of the many braids across this glacial valley. Brown trout to 7 lbs were rising but very difficult to tempt on dry fly.

Many New Zealand rivers are braided & may cover a valley several kilometers wide. Plenty of walking but many well conditioned trout can be the result for the fit angler.
